These cams are great. You can feel and hear the difference in power vs. stock cams. They dropped right in without any machining needed on the head, had a machine shop install the cams, valves and springs. Had to upgrade the fuel delivery, new injectors and fuel pump. Needed a tune but that was expected after all the changes made to the motor.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Brian crower stage 3 280 cams   Subie guy 1 year ago

Would these fit on my 05 Impreza rs? My heads are potted and polished and redone would I also have to get bigger injectors or would the stock ones work?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No, these are for the DOHC AVCS cylinder heads in the STI, not for the SOHC motor in the RS.

    • Q: Avcs Cams with non-AVCS gears  Tcschon2922202 years ago

Will non AVCS gears work with these? I was told that they would but mine are leaking... can they be sealed so they don’t leak or do I need AVCS gears? Stock AVCS gears don’t seem to fit on these cams.
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The reason you may be leaking is due to the cam gear bolts. If you reused your stock cam gear bolts, they are hollowed out to allow oil through.

    • Q: Question  cornfed_07wrx2 years ago

Can the 280 cams be used with the GSC beehive springs/retainers in b25 heads? I'll have new GSC valves aswell
      • 0 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It sounds like you are using heads from a 2008+, if that's the case you would want different cams. Give us a call and we can help you find the right cams.

    • Q: Valve spring and retainer   Azza3 years ago

Can I use other brand spring and retained combos instead of the BC kit with these cans
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  As long as the valve spring and retainer kit you are using is rated for the lift that these provide, you should not have issues.
