Hawk Performance Rotors w/ HPS 5.0 Pads Kit - Subaru STI 2005+
Manufacturer Part # HK4914.453B
The Hawk Performance bundle kit is perfect for drivers who demand performance for daily driving, and for the occasional track weekend. Hawk Performance Pads are trusted worldwide for producing friction materials that dominate on the race track, yet providing optimum performance for the everyday driver.
Featured in this kit is a pair of Sector 27 rotors. The design and craftsmanship of the Sector 27 rotors has been inspired from motorsports involved in events with “Sectors”. The beveled drilled holes will provide cooling on extreme conditions, while the slots will provide a sweeping action which helps expel gases, as well as brake dust. This combination can lower brake temperatures by as much as 180 degrees.
The HPS 5.0 pads deliver high performance friction and torque in both hot and cold conditions. They are designed to be gentle on rotors, and produce a low dust output. For a performance pad, they are considered relatively low-noise brake pad. These are going to be a little more aggressive then the standard HPS.
The rotors are silver-zinc plated for corrosion resistance, and they are precision balanced to provide the driver with satisfying braking performance on the street, or track.

initially pads didn't fit the standard 2008 STI setup. metal frame fitment on pads had to be shaved a little to get them to fit into the slot. after 5k miles outside of both rotors got very ridged, like a vinyl disk... which eventually left me with unevenly warn out wrapped rotors.. going back to OEM or maybe even autozone... at least they have normal return policy..
Stops car and looks great

A Subaru mechanic at a Florida dealership recommended these when I was traveling thru on vacation. "Brembos are overrated and over priced" he said, and yes he is absolutely right. These are doing a great job so far after initial install. Super easy to install. The only down side is you have to order the rear brake kit from Hawk Performance as RSD doesn't carry them but it's not a big deal for the price you are saving for great brake pads & rotors. (Note: The picture I posted is of the rears but you get the idea)

Q: Comparison bmpratt38133 3 years agoAnswer
How does this compare to 2010 wrx sti oem set up?
A: OEM Rotors are blank solid rotors with no cooling slots or cuts. These rotors paired with the HPS 5.0 which are a low heat aggressive street pad will provide much better stopping power over stock.
