I really recommend this rotors if you looking for a great stopping power. on the photo you can see that I did the upgrade to my wrx with the sti calipers with the DBA 4000

Did you have to add spacers to the rear when you did the swap? Im putting this on my 14 WRX, I'm trying to figure out everything I'm going to need.

Nice upgrade over OEM
arizonagull79277 2 years ago
I purchased a full set of these rotors as an upgrade over the stock OEM rotors. Although I haven't had them on the track yet, I have been using them on the street for about a month now. I noticed a change in the braking torque curve (as a function of pedal distanced traveled) between the two. The stock OEM rotors have fairly linear increase in torque through the pedal stroke, but the DBA4000's have a lot of initial grab, then seem to back off in increased friction until much further down the pedal stroke. I suppose this is what other folks refer to as "initial bite." A very slight tap on the brakes will scrub about 5mph off my speed almost instantly, which is taking a little getting used to but I do like it quite a bit.

Awesome Performance
RoMo12 3 years ago
These rotors performed very well under heavy use of a track day in Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and in Thunderhill Raceway (5-mile configuration). My brake pads are the Hawk DTC-70 (front) and DTC-30 (rear). Braking performance with this setup is excellent. No brake fades. No brake juddering of any sort. Just excellent and consistent braking performance throughout the track day. It's a definite improvement over my previous setup with the OEM Brembo rotors (roasted in Thunderhill) with the DTC-30 pads all-around. While the braking performance was OK, however, it developed brake juddering in my second track session. It definitely hindered me from going faster and deeper in to the corner. I may have exposed the brake pads way too soon to high heat since the DTC-30 does have lower heat range. These pads were burnished prior to track day too. In contrast to my new T3 rotors with the DTC-70 pads, this setup allowed me to dive in deeper and brake later in to the corner entry with better confidence; which translates in to better lap times. Any track rat can always appreciate that! I'm definitely having such an amazing time out on the race track with this setup. I'm satisfied to have found a combination of rotors and pads to accommodate my driving style in and around the race track. I'm happy that it provides excellent and consistent braking performance I'm looking for in my 2015 STI!

  • Q: DBA Brake Rotors  Greg 13 days ago

    Answer

Are these sold as a front right and left pair, both slot patterns from the pic make it look like they will be rotating different directions once mounted

    • A: Hello Greg. the rotors are non-directonal, they can be placed on either side

  • Q: How do they compare   Lapissti 7 months ago

    Answer

How do these compare to the powerstop slotted brakes? Are these disk better?

    • A: Each rotor can be designed a bit different. Different technologies, machining, innovations. It is really hard to compare the two between each other.

  • Q: Good for street applications?  aclasschris 2 years ago

    Answer

Considering these as a replacement for my Brembo slotted rotors (https://www.rallysportdirect.com/fits/2004-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-2-5/high-performance-brake-rotors/bre-33s60114-brembo-sport-brake-rotor-pair-slotted-front) but I need good usability for the street on my daily driver.

    • A: these are great for a daily driver. they are made of cast iron and go through a thermogenic heat treatment process which makes the iron stronger. these will give you excellent performance!
