    Pretty Disappointing  4 months ago
    04FXT
Just like the title says, I'm disappointed with the overall craftsmanship on these lines. Installation was easy and straight forward. All up until on of the banjo bolts cracked in half when threading into the caliper. There was 0 tension on the banjo bolt, but it decided to split with finger strength... I ended up using the OEM banjo bolt for that caliper and wish I did the same for the rest. It worries me that I'm going to snap the others if I need to remove any calipers. The second disappointment was that the from left line was leaking at the hardline. I tried loosening and re-seating the hard line multiple times, and even took the hose out of the bracket. To no avail, it leaked every time. I ended up wasting an entire bottle of motel rbf 600 trying to get the line to work. So now I have 3 braided lines / 1 OEM old rubber hose with 3 woodridge banjo bolts/ 1 OEM bolt. I should of went with stoptech.

Much improved pedal feel, much cleaner look and more peace of mind. How old are your rubber, squishy lines? Replace them.

Solid Stopping Improvement 2 years ago

My old brake lines were gummy and started to leak. These were the perfect replacement for the lines. Quick and easy to install. The metal lines add to the stopping power. You won't notice a 100% increase in pedal feel, but you will notice that when you really mash on the brakes they engage harder and sooner than before. These improve brake responsiveness I would say almost two folds. Would recommend to others if they ever asked.

Good looking lines, meh install 3 years ago

These lines look great, I had already bought a GoodRidge clutch line, and just wanted to continue the trend. I can't say if they had any significant advantage or not because I did several brake upgrades all at once. CONS: I will say the rears gave me a bit of trouble installing. The support brackets are not really set where they need to be out of the box. You need to pull the line though the bracket to get it to set where it won't rub the cars body. This would have been fine, except that one of the silicon spacers in between the bracket and the line came out on the rear, it was pretty impossible to get it to go back into the bracket to prevent rubbing. I'm not by any means saying don't buy these lines! I'm just saying when adjusting the rear brake line brackets make sure to keep the silicon spacer in place, because you will never be able to get it back in if it comes out.

Better than stock 4 years ago

That's right, 3 stars! With all the hype about these I expected more. They lost one star for the instructions. Printed on the back of the box and not vehicle specific. They had no info I could use. Thank god for YouTube! They lost one star for hardware. Don't destroy your old mounting clips removing them. You'll need them later. You get four C-clips that fit very loose in the mounting bracket. Unacceptable! Re-install the old clips. It will still be too loose. Wedge the C-clips between the old clips and the mounting bracket to take up the slack and they snug right up. I expected new clips like the stock ones and the groove they fit in to be the right size for the clips. Hmmm I wonder how Stoptech does it?

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Banjo bolt  jrajcich242963 years ago

What is the size and length of the banjo bolt used in this kit?
    • Q: Fitment  ThatOneGuy4 years ago

These lines say that they will fit all 02-07 wrx and STi. But the stoptech lines have a wrx set and an STi set, are they really different? I have an 02 wrx with 06 STi hubs brakes and such so I don't know what to get.
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The WRX and STI brakes use the same size fittings and the only difference between them should be the length. These lines are long enough to work on STI brakes and they are not too long for WRX brakes.

    • Q: Goodridge Brake Line FIttings  jeremy601574 years ago

Would you happen to know the size and thread of the female connector on the end of the brake line? (Opposite end to the banjo bolt)
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  From what we have researched, the fitting size should be M10x1.0, but we cannot guarantee that at this time. If we are able to confirm the size and thread pitch, then we will update this answer.

    • Q: This or StopTech?  kuabara182602255 years ago

Honest question. Are these better than the StopTechs, or about the same overall? I know the StopTechs are more popular though, from looking at the reviews.
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Both are very high quality, as they are built to the same specs in regards to saftey. I have personally used both brands and did not see any noticeable difference to say that one is better then the other
