One of the many great attributes of the 06-07 WRX is the brakes! If only you could have a set of FHI Calipers on your 02-05 WRX, or GC Impreza then life would be complete! Well now you can do just that.

Kartboy has designed a quality big brake adapter so that you can run the FHI Calipers on the rear of your WRX, RS, and some choice Forester and Legacy models. These adapter kits will come provided with all the mounting hardware which includes high-grade bolts which will hold up to all the horsepower you will be running.

Please note that mounting these calipers also requires the use of 06-07 WRX rear rotors, and of course the proper calipers to make for a complete installation.

not perfect, but does the job

i had to use a metal file on the knuckles to get the adapter to work properly, and i needed about an inch of spacers per bolt to keep them from contacting the rotors. not a deal breaker, but not ideal either. if you make a run to the hardware store before hand and know what you're in for, it's a pretty easy install, and they're much easier to install that swapping out knuckles. overall, i'm happy with them.

I bought these brakets after I was told these would allow me to bolt up the 04 sti rear breaks on my 02 wrx.THIS IS NOT TRUE. they don't work and I have to pay shipping to send them back now and cannot bolt up the rears. Would not recommend. I love RSD but this is crap.

Hope you get lucky

I've read a few reviews. Some say no fitment issues others say there are. I installed them and definitely had fitment issues with the bolt holes that attach to the e-brake back plate. Not a huge deal to remedy I just think if you're paying this much you shouldn't have to deal with anything. Still a great product and a cheaper alternative to replacing the backing plates with 06-07 plates.

Worked wonderfully

Bolted on directly. Passenger side bolted on without any issue. Drivers side took a modification, but ended up bolting on just fine. Very pleased with the overall construction and hardware. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to upgrade their brakes.

Forester XTi 2007 brake upgrade

Brilliant stuff Kartboy, upgrade to 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rears finished without any problems at all. Adaptors fitted perfectly on rear and I like the finish. Very factory in appearance. Heartily recommend to others.

  • Q: adapters  michaelkenechuk38183 3 years ago

hey I'm about to purchase some 4 pots for my 03 wrx, the brakes i plan on purchasing actually come with rotors, my question is will the rotors line up or will i still need this adaptor. i apologize if this is a dumb question I'm knew to the brake modifying world and i don't want to have to drop an extra 200 if its not necessary. thank you for your time

    • A: You will want to use rotors that are specific to the calipers, and the fronts should not need an adapter. These adapters are only for bolting on the rear 2 pot calipers.

  • Q: 16 inch wheels?  Compass Motorsports 3 years ago

I have a 2000 Impreza RS will these fit with my stock 16 inch wheels or do I need bigger wheels?

    • A: We have not tested the stock RS 16 wheels and would not be able to confirm.

  • Q: BRZ upgrade  K9 3 years ago

Are these the adapters that will let the 2 pot callipers from the 06 wrx to fit the BRZ? Thanks

    • A: Unfortunately we have not been able to confirm fitment with the BRZ/FRS at this time.

  • Q: E brake  bddilse81181 4 years ago

Will the stock e brake still work

    • A: As long as you use rotors that have the same parking brake dimensions as stock, the parking brake will still be functional.

  • Q: 4/2 Pot setup on '06 STi  gregroot198521 5 years ago

I've been told that here a set of Kartboy brackets required for the 4/2 pot downgrade on an '06 STi, these are the only ones I've come across. Do you, or anyone else, know if these are the part, or if there is a different part? Cheers!

    • A: No you do not need these adapters to do the downgrade, you will however need custom 5X114.3 WRX size front rotors, and custom rear 5X114.3 rotors that will work with the STi larger parking brake.
