The Grimmspeed 3-Port Electronic Boost Solenoid has been a treasure to the turbocharged world of sport compact drivers. Not only has Grimmspeed designed this solenoid to work with our factory ECU (requires tuning), but this solenoid will outperform the factory solenoid by flowing better and reacting faster without having to use more power from the ECU. Additionally, Grimmspeed designed their electronic boost controller with a bracket to bolt into the existing provision in your vehicle, and it will come with an OEM-like connector to be a direct plug and play unit which eliminates the need for additional splicing. This also makes it possible to return your vehicle back to stock if you plan on doing so.
This particular application comes from the factory equipped with a 2-port solenoid that is mounted directly to the plastic turbo inlet and it interfaces with an O-ring feature rather than a vacuum hose. Grimmspeed highly anticipated the redesign of this system to deliver a quality boost control solenoid that will deliver fast and effective results/
When compared to the factory 2-port system, the Grimmspeed 3-Port Boost Control Solenoid works by interrupting the boost signal that travels from the turbo to the wastegate. That boost is redirected back into the turbo inlet and re-ingested by the turbo using their machined adapter. The factory MAF sensor will measure that air and will expect your motor will use it during combustion rather than venting it back into the atmosphere. The factory configuration will bleed the signal from between the turbo and the wastegate that creates a slower reaction with less precision.
Installation should be simple and straightforward since Grimmspeed designed the bracket to bolt right onto your factory solenoid provision, and Grimmspeed designed this solenoid with OEM like wiring connectors to eliminate the need for extra wiring or splicing and to be a direct plug and play type of installation.
Hardware, vacuum hose, as well as zip ties, will be included to make this 3-Port Electronic Boost Controller to be ready for the installation. Please note that because it is a device that alters your boost levels, that a professional tune will be required to make this BCS ready for the installation.
FITMENT NOTE: This will only fit cars with the factory composit turbo inlet.

My Tuner recommended this as a way to better Tune my car. Again Grimmspeeds quality is the best.
Install wasn't bad takes more time to take off and put back on the under panel. Dont use this part without tuning, once done boost delivery is great.
Nothing else needs to be said really. Install isn't too bad at all. Car is now protuned and utilizing this solenoid and everything is just so fluent and responsive. Grimmspeed is nothing but the best.
It is Grimmspeed, nothing else needs to be said… This is Grimspeed’s bread and butter, nobody asks “what solenoid should I run” because everyone runs the Grimmspeed solenoid without question… because it is the most reliable and the best on the market. I don’t need to go over how great they package it and how the finish on it is perfect, that just comes with their products.

Will installing this allow me to use a catless J pipe with my 2016 WRX safely without boost creep/ over boost and drivability issues?

A: Yes it will make running a catless product safer, but you will need a professional tune with this part.

A: This will not bolt on to the '11 LGT. The turbo inlet designs are slightly different, and the BCS will not clear. For that vehicle, you will want to use PN 057046 and PN 057047. That setup will be the adapter plate along with a solenoid that mounts independently of the plate. -Andy
