  • Q: 2018 Sti  subie doo2 months ago

Is anyone running this on an 18 Sti? Im going to run my flex kit for E85 on my 18 using my 2011 Sti parts but just curious as to why some sites have an actual 2015+ EBC vs here where it just says 2008+.
  • Q: Ebcs grimmspeed  Nitsud261 year ago

Will this product function with stage 2 cobb shelf map?
  • Q: Exact benefits of this EBCS?  godmodeon4 years ago

I have a 2011 STI. Everything Engine is bone stock, except the COBB MAF hose, and K&N stock-style air filter, and air intake silencer cut out.. What would be the exact benefits of installing an EBCS over a stock BCS. Plug and Play/Drive? I will of course get a tune later to get better results. Thanks.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Upgrading your EBCS will increase all around boost control, and in some cases you will see quicker spool. This is not a Plug and Play, and your car will need to be tuned immediately after the install or at the tuner's shop.

  • Q: Cleaning  KornShaDoW0974 years ago

Do these ever get dirty and require cleaning?(aem's truflow I hear get dirty and flow is affected) How are they cleaned?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you have excessive blow by and are getting oil in your vacuum lines then you may need to clean it. Something light like a non corrosive electrical cleaner would be best. Be sure to let the valve thoroughly dry. Mike

If I installed this GrimmSpeed Boost Solenoid with an Up pipe w/EWG (Tial 44mm MV-R)are there any other upgrades required? Fuel system etc? Vehicle:'13 STI w/AP(V3)Stg 2, Cobb DP,AEM CAI,LPC FPR Kit.
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  About the only thing you will need is a wastegate bracket to hold the stock wastegate shut, and a pro-tune. Also it would not be a bad idea to get a set of 1 step colder spark plugs.

  • Q: Port 1  NY2MDWRX5 years ago

I have a 2013 sedan wrx, and this product is already installed on my car. For some reason I just noticed that one of the ports is not connected to a tube. I believe it's port 1(pointing toward intercooler)Is this install done correctly ?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  There are several ways of installing this part, and depending on how its installed will depend on how its tuned. For best answer to your question you would want to talk to the individual who installed and tuned the vehicle.

if my car has an existing tune w/oem and i instal this will i have to re tune ?or will it just make my tune better, because boost is holding better??

A:  This will need a tune tailored specifically for our solenoid. It operates much more efficiently than the factory unit. Mike

  • Q: 2012 WRX Fitment  subwrxracing386 years ago

Will this fit a 2012 WRX (not sti)? what's the difference? just the bracket?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The difference is the brackets which are included. That make them model specific. Im sure you can make it fit, but we suggest to just get the proper one for your car from the start so you dont have to waste time trying to figure out how to put it on your car.
