RallySport Direct is your number one source for quality upgrades and enhancements brought to you by COBB TUNING.
This is the COBB 3-Port Boost Solenoid (BCS). This is an excellent upgrade for those looking for precise boost control that is easy to install and tune. This BCS will eliminate boost fluctuations and boost creep inherent in the OEM boost control system, providing stable and repeatable boost control to base the vehicle’s tune on. It is equally capable of providing this stable boost control at stock boost levels as well as extremely high boost levels associated with big-power builds.

Super easy install, with great boost performance, with noticeable difference in smoothness! Much better than the stock 2 port !
one size fits most type of product. The installation left a bit to be desired. I have an 03 WRX wagon. the OEM EBCS has rubber bushings insulating the solenoid from vibrations from the car. The Cobb is not drilled for those. I drilled them myself and installed the rubber solenoids on the mounting bracket. After that it was a fantastic install. Although I may have paid another $20 if Cobb would have chosen to include proper silicone hose and tiny hose clamps instead of the rubber lines (near the turbo heat zone) and zipties. once I flashed the ECU to the +EBCS map the car ceased all boosting issues! I can reach 15+lbs of boost on the OTS map.
A must have.
Huge difference over stock. Boost comes on earlier and smoother. While the Cobb OTS tune works, I wouldn't run it for long without a custom tune. I saw small knock events with regularity until I switching to custom. Stage 1+EBCS felt equivalent to Stage 2 w/stock boost controller dyno tune to my butt. Very easy to install.
Originally purchased this ebcs back in january of 2016 for a motor build. Got it tuned and it ran flawlessly for 19 months of daily driving, approximately 23,000 miles. Buttery smooth boost delivery even with a larger turbo. Out of the blue it died completely and it sent me down the troubleshooting black hole. Car would only make about 6lbs of boost with a bpt 20g, no CEL or any other obvious issues. Eventually figured out the ebcs was dead and popped in a new one. All boost issues were resolved and I'm back to normal. Sucks that the warranty on this ebcs is only one year from cobb, but after a lot of searching on forums I could not find a single thread that mentioned a failed aftermarket ebcs. That being said I am sure that I am one of the very few that have run into one failing.

Q: Tuning Reliable063 years ago
I have an 06 wrx wagon with an nvidia turbo back exhaust and Perrin intake. No cobb access port or any other modifications to speak of. Can I put this on and go or do I need to get it tuned after installing this?

Q: Running SD on 06 STI bbostock18095613 years ago
I’ll be running speed density on my 06’ STI and I have on of these boost controllers. My questions is how to hook it up when I don’t have a turbo inlet pipe, I’m just running a 4” filter right off the turbo. Is there a way around this?

A: You would need to add a vacuum source pre-turbo somehow. Either buy a short extension between the turbo and filter, or tap into the filter body somehow. Thanks

A: you bet, Cobb has maps that are specific for this EBCS as well as a turboback exhaust. You can download it directly from their site here: https://www.cobbtuning.com/maps/2002-2003-subaru-impreza-wrx-stage-2-ebcs-map

Q: Upgraded turbo and EWG Strycn1n34 years ago
Will this work with an aftermarket turbo and external wastegate on a 2007 sti? Also is this ECBS controlled by the settings in the v3 AccessPort or does it require an external controller?

A: This does work with an aftermarket turbo and wastegate, but it will require custom tuning, and will not work with an existing tune or OTS map.

A: Cobb's OTS map will only work with the stock BCS, you'll only want this if you're getting pro tuned.
