Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port Blow Off Valve ( Part Number: TS-0203-1015)
Awesome little piece, decent self install, lots to enjoy, drivability IMPROVED! 5 months ago
Install was relatively straightforward, though routing the vent lines could have used a bit more explanation. Simply route the driver's side crankcase hose underneath the intercooler and THEN the supplied 1/2" line will fit. If you buy your own, but maybe 2 feet long or so, you could route it differently. Setup is simple, just follow the instructions. Took a couple of drives to dial in the right tension, with the obligatory backfire when too loose. I'm sure my neighbor appreciated that at 10.00pm when it backfired in the garage (which is right next to his living room) LOL. Now I think it's set, and enjoy it daily! Quiet on short shifts and no boost. Small chirps under low boost, and nice obvious pressure releases when building decent boost. Still, it's the DRIVABILITY that has improved so much. They market it as "keeping more boost" in your intake tract during driving, and man they weren't kidding! I've got to relearn my shifts now. Before with stock I/C and stock BPV, i would need to either quick-shift or slight rev hang to keep boost when changing gears. NOW? I get to normal shift (1/2 shifts) and they respond like quick shifts. no dropoff in response! When i quick shift now, it jerks my head like I've clutched in wrong. Wished i did this years ago... TL;DR: easy install but crankcase line could use some improvement. Quiet when i want, noisy when i want, and better throttle response to boot!

  • Q: do i need a tune ?  STi_Carlos861 month ago

Was wondering if i need a pro tune or a off the shelf tune with the cobb access port would do as good if i install this bov ? it's going on my 2016 Subaru STi Limited, Thank You in advance
  • Q: Intercooler Black metal hoses  Strung6 months ago

For this specific blow off valve model, do I have to remove the black metal lines on the intercooler? I’m in an 18 STI and I want to keep it as stock as possible, if I need to change the hardliners to a rubber hose, what blow off valve do you suggest instead?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You will have to remove the lines on the intercooler, with blow off valves on STI's you will have to tune the car for it to run right, so if you are looking at keeping it stock a bov may not be for you.

  • Q: How much psi can this handle.   ajszurek258121 year ago

I just received my compact bov. My question is the piston seems much softer then the stock one. Even at the hardest setting. Any idea how much psi this will hold? I. Hoping it can hold 24 psi. As my Turner is trying to get my car around 22 psi.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The spring tension will not determine the amount of boost the valve can hold but is set to the vehicles idle. There wont be a problem holding 22 PSI with this valve.
