Turbosmart Recirculating Blow Off Valve Kompact Plumb Back Black

MODEL # TBS TS-0203-1215

$166.04

  • Q: Bpv question  Sean5 months ago

I'm running turbosmart kompact Plumb back and under heavy load it will cause my Turbo to flutter during shifts what could be done to correct that?
  • Q: Fitment  STI Noobster1 year ago

Does his BOV connect to the existing recirculation hose? Is everything from stock just plug and play? (Except for the gasket). Thanks in advance.
  • Q: pbv?  02bugeye1 year ago

Can this PBV also be used as a vent to atmosphere BOV if desired, provided I block off the recirculation hose going back to turbo inlet? basically run it as a bov instead?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You could theoretically run the BOV in that configuration although we do not recommend it because it was designed to function this way.

  • Q: Spring Recommendation  kjb6552 years ago

I see that this comes with the green spring for 19InHg to -9InHg vacuum at idle. However, I am at sea level and idle closer -20InHg; do you recommend the pink spring or will the green be fine for my stage 2 tune?
  • Q: hose  Goyarice2 years ago

Now another question I have when I switch out my HKS ssq bov to this turbo smart recirculating one. There's a hose underneath that is blocked with a plug for air doesn't escape do I have to unplug that when I install this one or no
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The hose that you have plugged is the re circulation hose and it will need to be unplugged and hooked up to this valve so that the air can recirculate back into the intake.

Will this fit a 2015 STI? Says it wont.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will work on 2015 STI models. There were not changes in design from previous years for the BOV flange.

  • Q: 03 WRX  DERKADERKA4 years ago

Will this BOV pair well with an almost stock 03 WRX? Just has Cobb intake and 3 inch turboback exhaust.
  • Q: what spring does this ship with?  przemek_1979999064 years ago

I bought this a few months ago, and would like to know what spring this came with. blue, pink or green. whatever spring was in there worked good for stock turbo, but I'm having wandering idle problems on a 2.5 xtr, tuner thinks the spring might be wrong in this BPV. do you sell different springs for this BOV on rallysport direct?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This valve comes with the Green spring, which is the softest spring available, and is recommended for -19InHg to -9InHg vacuum at idle. We offer the other available springs, and we have the Pink spring listed on the website, but the Blue is not listed at this time.

  • Q: Sound?  Richie11d74 years ago

Will this be okay to put on my 2007 WRx sti? It is completely bone stock and I want to put something on that will at least give it that cool hissing sound. Would this be okay just to throw it on?
  • Q: Will this recirculating bov fit from a 2014 wrx   bxracer2828737544 years ago

I was looking to add a better bov cause I have a hks bov now..but i heard with a waste gate and up pipe I wouldn't need a bov ..can u help. .do I need to add a bov with the stuff I ordered ..
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will not fit a 14 WRX. A BOV will not be needed with those mods.

  • Q: can it take...  jesser4 years ago

My tuner is tuning my 2006 sti on 100% methanol...we are looking at 23/24 psi on the stock turbo. Can this bpv handle that?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Yes, this valve would be able to withstand that pressure.

  • Q: does it have enough flow  przemek_1979999064 years ago

at what point should I consider using the larger valve part#TBS TS-0205-1216, hp/psi? build is 1.5 xt-r, around 400whp @ 21 psi. will the kompakt valve be sufficient?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  I would definitely consider the larger valve with your build due to your large increase in power and air flow requirements.

  • Q: Boost pressure??  justinm400171055 years ago

How much boost can this BPV hold before leaking? my car gets more boost than my sti bpv can handle and don't want to buy this for no reason
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This valve can hold a very high amount of boost without failure. You would be safe up until at least 30-35 PSI.

  • Q: general bov question  Rocker5 years ago

i was wondering if i should get a bov for my forester xt. i have a AP Stage 2 tune on it. i was told that i should stick with stock unless i running a high HP vehicle. is that true or would i be g2g with getting one?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The stock valve is quite weak and is slow to respond compared to these aftermarket units. So yes you can re-use the stock valve on stage2, but you will get better response and better consistence with an aftermarket valve.

Would that work on my 2013 STI.Running Stage1 ProTuned,so more boost. Feels like stock BOV leaks. Simple bolt on,no retune required?
  • Q: Flange  jake_abaga077895 years ago

What size is the flange that attaches to the recirculating hose? I have to purchase an adapter to fit to the hose and this product, as the last owner of the car had a cap on the recirculating hose.
  • Q: Any things to change?  STI20105 years ago

Hi, is it necessary to do any changes on the car? Or is it just plug and play? Some people say i need to do a software update on the motormanagement..
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is a direct factory replacement unit, no changes are required at all to the car. Simply replace the stock valve with this and you are set.

  • Q: Difference compared to Stock  Bestswat5 years ago

Hi, Is there any technical information regarding this product other than it is just better than stock. What is actually different about it that makes it better than the stock bpv? I have a GR STi by the way.
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The stock BPV tends to leak after about 18-20 psi and this valve will hold more pressure than you will ever need. This BPV also closes faster than stock, which allows you to build boost sooner after shifting or letting off the throttle and provides better throttle response.

  • Q: Where to get elbow?  Cwly5 years ago

I've got an atmospheric valve on my 2003 WRX Sedan right now, and it was there when I bought the car. Can't for the life of me find the elbow necessary to recirculate. Any way you could help out with a part number/link?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The elbow is something you remove off the stock valve and re-use on the new valve. Unfortunate Subaru does not sell the Elbow separate from the factory valve, so your best option is to find that elbow used.

If I install this as a straight-up replacement on a stock 2003 wrx would I have to adjust it?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

  • Q: Trying to retrofit back to stock!  StoobyMcDooby7 years ago

Hey RSD! I currently have a full atmospheric Turbosmart BOV. The recirculation hose on the car is currently blocked off. I am trying to find a full recirculation bypass valve to install on my car. I noticed on some of the Cobb bypass valves that there is a built in elbow for the stock recirculation hose. This valve doesn't appear to have such an elbow.. How do I attach the recirculation hose to this valve?
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This valve is designed to re-use the factory recirculation turn down piece. So you would need to be able to have that piece to use this unit.

  • Q: Good choice for oem replacement?  nate7 years ago

I feel it is time to replace my 04 STi's stock, blow off valve. The car is basically a stage 2 protune. Would this blow off valve be a great option to replace the stock bov on there now? I feel the stock isn't running effectively to handle the 19psi it is currently tuned at.
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You bet, this would be a perfect upgrade over the stock valve. It will bolt on just like stock, but will hold much more boost than stock as well. Thanks.
