Q: Turbosmart Recirculating Blow Off Valve Kompact Plumb Back Black Subie3203 years ago
does this product have a spring preload to adjust? is so where is it located?
-
-
0 of
0 people found the
following answer helpful
A: This valve is not adjustable like our Dual Port models where you can adjust spring load by rotating the cap. The most you would probably see in terms of adjustment are metal shims that you can install to increase spring strength.

Q: pbv? 02bugeye5 years ago
Can this PBV also be used as a vent to atmosphere BOV if desired, provided I block off the recirculation hose going back to turbo inlet? basically run it as a bov instead?
-
-
0 of

following answer helpful
A: You could theoretically run the BOV in that configuration although we do not recommend it because it was designed to function this way.

I see that this comes with the green spring for 19InHg to -9InHg vacuum at idle. However, I am at sea level and idle closer -20InHg; do you recommend the pink spring or will the green be fine for my stage 2 tune?

Q: hose Goyarice6 years ago
Now another question I have when I switch out my HKS ssq bov to this turbo smart recirculating one. There's a hose underneath that is blocked with a plug for air doesn't escape do I have to unplug that when I install this one or no
-
-
0 of
0 people found the
following answer helpful
A: The hose that you have plugged is the re circulation hose and it will need to be unplugged and hooked up to this valve so that the air can recirculate back into the intake.

Q: what spring does this ship with? przemek_1979999068 years ago
I bought this a few months ago, and would like to know what spring this came with. blue, pink or green. whatever spring was in there worked good for stock turbo, but I'm having wandering idle problems on a 2.5 xtr, tuner thinks the spring might be wrong in this BPV. do you sell different springs for this BOV on rallysport direct?
-
-
0 of
0 people found the
following answer helpful
A: This valve comes with the Green spring, which is the softest spring available, and is recommended for -19InHg to -9InHg vacuum at idle. We offer the other available springs, and we have the Pink spring listed on the website, but the Blue is not listed at this time.

Q: general bov question Rocker9 years ago
i was wondering if i should get a bov for my forester xt. i have a AP Stage 2 tune on it. i was told that i should stick with stock unless i running a high HP vehicle. is that true or would i be g2g with getting one?
-
-
1 of
1 people found the
following answer helpful
A: The stock valve is quite weak and is slow to respond compared to these aftermarket units. So yes you can re-use the stock valve on stage2, but you will get better response and better consistence with an aftermarket valve.

Q: Difference compared to Stock Bestswat9 years ago
Hi, Is there any technical information regarding this product other than it is just better than stock. What is actually different about it that makes it better than the stock bpv? I have a GR STi by the way.
-
-
1 of
1 people found the
following answer helpful
A: The stock BPV tends to leak after about 18-20 psi and this valve will hold more pressure than you will ever need. This BPV also closes faster than stock, which allows you to build boost sooner after shifting or letting off the throttle and provides better throttle response.

Q: Where to get elbow? Cwly9 years ago
I've got an atmospheric valve on my 2003 WRX Sedan right now, and it was there when I bought the car. Can't for the life of me find the elbow necessary to recirculate. Any way you could help out with a part number/link?
-
-
1 of
1 people found the
following answer helpful
A: The elbow is something you remove off the stock valve and re-use on the new valve. Unfortunate Subaru does not sell the Elbow separate from the factory valve, so your best option is to find that elbow used.
Kirill C. @ RallySport Direct 9 years ago -
