I have a 08 WRX hatch that’s stock other than an invidia racing series catback and an intake, will I need a tune for this BOV?
  • Q: GFB BOV adjusting  N8iveSubie6 months ago

I have an 09 WRX, that ive upgraded from stage 1 to stage 2 and with a torque performance tune. Do I need to do any adjusting on the BOV to compensate for the tune? I keep blowing off lines from the BOV and want to make sure. Thank you!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If your vacuum line keeps coming off the diaphragm nipple on the BOV you will want to use a clamp to hold it in place, you do not need to adjust the BOV regardless of your tune.

  • Q: Exhaust popping   Codes8 months ago

I put this on my 2013 WRX and have it set to what looked like half circulating and half venting, and sometimes when i rev to around 35k i'll get a pop from the exhaust. I've been told its fine but just wanted to see your opinion. I have an Invidia N1 cat back and Invidia uppipe installed, along with a cold air intake and an accessport tuned to stage 1.

A:  i have a 2008 wrx. i just installed the processwest v-cooler with the gfb bov and its a tight fit but fits and cant be adjust without removing the bov.. sounds good but still dialing the adjustments in because i have a little backfiring. i know the 2008 and 2011 are similar so i hope this helps you out.

  • Q: Tune ?  Live free or die subie1 year ago

I have a 2013 wrx turbo back 3" with cobb short ram and a stage 2 on the access port will I have to go get a pro Tune?
  • Q: My car is stock  totalynotchris1 year ago

This might be a stupid question, but here it goes. I've owned the same 2009 WRX for two years. Apart from an exhaust that the previous owner had, the car is bone stock. I've been wanting to put on this specific bov on for a while, now. With it being stock, will there be any problems if I install this part without having anything else on?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No stupid questions here! You can bolt this right on and you will not have any problems at all. Give us a shout if you have any more questions.

  • Q: Bov  kaufmanntyler3 years ago

I have a 97 Forester from Japan with the ej20g, is there an adapter available to make this fit on my car?
  • Q: Adapter siZe  WRB WRX3 years ago

I just found this blow off valve in my new used car in the trunk not installed. I noticed the plumb back portion was mission but I don't know which adapter to purchase to get it To plumb back to my 09 wrx. Do you know which size adapter I need to purchase?
  • Q: Tune?  08wrxnoob3 years ago

My subaru wrx is stock right now and i was wondering if i would need to tune my car if i set this partially vented. I just dont want to set off the O2 sensor by accident
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  A tune will not have any benefit when venting to atmosphere. With your vehicle using a MAF sensor anytime you vent to atmosphere it will have rich spikes on shifts or a lower idle. This can only be remedied by switching to an air density style setup or keeping the valve fully recirculating.

  • Q: Subaru Legacy GT AT  Psour3 years ago

It`s recommended for automatic transmissions?. I would like to hear the whistle in my Subaru Legacy Gt 06
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The Blow off valve is just fine for automatic transmissions as boost still builds the same. This would be a great choice for all turbo models.
