Absolutely great product, fitment was perfect, and looks great. Obviously, to put these delete plates in is pain in the a**, but worth it in the end. Allows to get rid of the useless secondary air injection system (if in a no-smog area), and it frees up a good amount of space. The gap where the pump used to be is perfect for east access to the #4 coil pack and spark plug.

Cleaning up engine bay 3 years ago

I decided to get these Nameless air pump block off plates because i wanted to get more engine bay space freed up for other modifications. When installing these block off plates you just got to keep your baro sensor which is in the passenger side valve, make sure you keep that. when doing this modification i decided to get rid of my tgv valves and install Grimmspeed phenolic spaces while i had the intake manifold off. Installation sucks, there is no instructions. with deleting the tgv valves, air pump delete, and tune up with oil change it took about 6 hours. when i did my tgv delete i ended up aluminum welding the tgv whole shut and porting. dont do one without the other, kill two birds with one stone and save you some time make sure you have a cobb tuner, or tactrix open ecu to program out the secondary injection system otherwise your car will run like crap and check engine light will haunt you.

Just installed these on my 2006 wrx, install was a pain as the removal of the solenoids requires a quite extensive tool set, ratcheting box wrenches etc, and removal of a few things, such as downpipe. But the plates fit perfect and snugged down nice.

Buy these for price, not for the cool colors. 2 years ago

At the time of writing this, these Nameless plates are 95 cents cheaper than the LIC Motorsports plates, and $31 cheaper than the Cosworth brand (robbery!). The Nameless ones look the coolest, but don't worry about that, they are not something you will readily see glistening under your engine bay when you pop the hood. The only time you'll really catch a glimpse is when you're changing your spark plugs. That said, these are a necessity when doing the highly recommended secondary air pump delete. If you're considering this, you should go ahead and upgrade your TGV's and get phenolic spacers as well, since you'll be in the same area. Get your tuner to account for the deleted pump as it will cause a CEL. No performance improvements other than reliability of your engine, and install should be fairly easy, excluding the huge pain of actually removing the air pump system itself.
