ETS Axle Back Exhaust System w/ Muffler Polished Tips - Subaru WRX/STI 2015+
Manufacturer Part # 400-33
The ETS Axle Back Exhaust System has been designed to eliminate the factory muffler to provide optimal weight savings with an aggressive sound under full throttle. These are like the ETS axle back exhaust systems except these do have mufflers included to lower the sound for those of you who need to be in compliance with your local area provisions. Included are a pair of 2.5" pipes that lead to quad 3.5" double wall tips. This exhaust system has been fabricated from stainless steel, and installation is considered to be pretty simple once the factory muffler is removed.
This particular exhaust system will come with polished tips, and all the necessary gaskets and hardware are included to make for a ready installation.

So, I just installed the ETS axle back system on my 2017 STI and I'm beyond impressed. I picked up the model with mufflers since I'm old and don't want a ton of noise. I'm currently running an Invidia catless downpipe with the stock STI midpipe. The tone is exactly what I wanted; very deep but not overly loud. Best of all, no drone whatsoever! These may even pass the wife test. I do imagine the tone and noise level will change a bit as they break in but how they'll change, I have no clue. Maybe I'll write back in 6 months or so...if I remember. :) As for performance, let's be real; this is just a noise maker. I'm sure it has to help a small amount since it's freeing things up a bit but I really doubt it's enough to be measured. Butt dyno says nada. Fit and finish on these are fantastic. Excellent welds, very sturdy and super easy to install. If you're looking for a tame exhaust note and some good looks to boot, go with the ETS! (well, the muffled axleback anyway, I doubt the ETS extreme is tame...heh)
