Had these on the car for a few months and they already have cracked…. Daily driving and one auto cross event. I had higher expectations for these.
My factory control arms and ball joints we're shot (popping noise when starting and stopping) so I upgraded to these. Superpro was very helpful with any questions I had. I installed these with a Bilstein/King Spring standard height setup. Everything went smooth. The turn in feels like it has improved over stock. They aren't cheap, but I could see this being a good improvement for someone who autocrosses their vehicle, or just needs new control arms as I did and wants an upgrade.

Q: suitability nick_russo87686902 years ago
What is the different between this model at the ALOY0014K. Which is the correct model to install on a GHE (2010 wrx) with the slim bodykit, not the wider bodykit that came out the year later. thank you

A: Part # ALOY0014K is suitable for track or street driven cars. These ones will give you a wider track width. It will work on a narrow body car, but you may get rubbing at full lock or under larger bumps you would see on a normal road. If this is a daily driven car, I would suggest going with ALOY0014K.

A: Super Pro's installation instructions state that the kit comes with the new bolt to replace the stud. Unfortunately, we do not have the specs on the bolt that Super Pro uses for the kit.

A: STIs have the bolt, WRXs use a stud. With this you can lookup the part number from a dealership, and it's interchangeable between the models.

When installing these on a 2010 sti with the rear stud instead of the a bolt like on the 11+ will I need to replace the studs with bolts? Or will these work with the stud on the 08-10 models?

Q: ball joint inserts j5sti3 years ago
the first 3 images look like there's a reinforced insert probably made of steel where the ball joint inserts into the control arm? the last image doesn't look like it has it. just wanted to confirm if they do in fact have a reinforced insert, that is a feature i am looking for.

A: Yes these will come with the inserts, and they do this so the WRX guys don't have to source them after the purchase. Thanks!

Q: What do they have to do with headlights? John Wang3 years ago
Why would it matter if you have self leveling headlights or not?

A: Good question. Some STI's, maybe the European or Japanese models have the headlight leveling switch on the front control arms, not really sure as I always see them on the rear driver side control arms here in the states, but because Super Pro sells these globally and we do as well, we use that as a general statement from Super Pro just to be safe. So if you have the adjustment level switch in the rear, you should be fine :)
