Features & Product Details

AEM has developed their 340LPH E85 Hi Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump to support fuel systems that are running ethanol through larger injectors, with increased fuel pressure.  Another one of the greater attributes of this fuel pump is the compact size, making it easier to install in most applications. This is a great fuel system upgrade for your racecar, rally car, overlander or even if you just want to add more fuel to your daily driver with mods!

Included with the AEM 340LPH E85 Hi Flow Fuel Pump is the wiring harness, pre filter, and the O-rings.

Pump doesn't work 2 years ago

I just recently installed fuel pump and right out of the box it didn't work... relays were all good, wires had a clean connection, yet the pump wouldn't prime. I had read other reviews on the AEM 340lph before buying, and many other people have had the same issue. I was skeptical when I bought the fuel pump, and this just proved me right. Anyways, I put the stock fuel pump back in and the pump primed right up. I'll be getting the Walbro 255 instead since it's the go-to pump. I'd save your money and stay away from AEM. I'll just say 'All Electronics Malfunction' when it comes to their fuel pumps.

I overthink things when it comes to my car especially when it's my first time to install a fuel pump. But it was a very easy install thanks to YouTube.

This aem pump was a very easy plug an play install, i already had a walbro 255 so the aem pump plugged right in. I'm not sure if the factory harness would need changed with the supplied aem one since a shop put the walbro in my car. I noticed a significant decrease in pump noise compared to the walbro

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Q: GAS  JEFF2 years ago

Maybe a dumb question but does this also run regular 91/93 octane gas or is it only meant for E85?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Not a dumb question, so many fueling components point out E85 compatibility without mentioning regular pump gas. Standard 91/93 octane pump gas will work with this pump (and most any other fueling component.) Ethanol can be a bit corrosive on some components, so that is why their E85 compatibility is usually marketed.

  • Q: Will this help with fuel cut-off at high speed corners?  PranjalG2 years ago

I get fuel cut-off above 90mph on turning right at a high speed corner. Will adding a fuel pump help with that? If not, do you recommend any other solution?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you're getting fuel cut during turns, it's likely the fuel is sloshing in the tank, so the fuel pick up is no longer submerged. Replacing the pump would not necessarily fix the issue. It sounds more likely that you are in need of a surge tank.

  • Q: Aem fuel pump   DCN2 years ago

I have a 2006 Subaru wrx and I’m unsure what pump I need. The one with hooks or without? Does anyone know?
  • Q: Fit with 2002 WRX?  glencastleberry2 years ago

I have a 450whp E85 build on a 2002 wrx. 1300cc Deatchwerk injectors. Will this pump work with my setup and the existing stock wiring the car has now? Anything else I may need? Any brackets or extra pieces for it to be plug and play?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The pump should be able to supply enough fuel for your setup, You will need to splice the wiring for this pump in to your existing wiring.

  • Q: Can OEM fuel rails handle this pump and 1000cc+ injectors?  Snake23322 years ago

Just wondering if a fuel rail upgrade is needed when using this 340lph FP and some 1050cc injectors, namely on a 2011 STI that happens to have a Tomei Type-S fuel regulator already.
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No, your stock rails are fine. If you like the looks of the rails, or you need some crazy flow you can upgrade, but other than that, your stock rails will work great. Thanks.
