REVIEWS & CUSTOMER MEDIA
So this review has nothing to do with Rallyspordirect, their customer service is a awesome, but the clutch on the other hand. Well i had this thing on my car for what i want to say was about 3 months, then the car started acting funny, lots of clutch noise and some occasional slipping and releasing issues. So i take it out and inspect it, the thing basically looks trashed. i followed the brake in procedures and boy, that helped nothing. So i send it and while this one was out (took about 2 months to get a hold of the manufacture) i bought another ACT clutch. And guess what, that thing took a dump on me as well. so i take it out, and it looks exactly the same as the one i sent off. LIKE TRASH. well they tell me that everything looks like it worn normally, they send out a new unit and resurface the pressure plate.
Clutch is aggressive. From stop to moving it chatters a lot but while driving it's just like a normal clutch except the pedal is a bit stiffer. If you want that race car feel then this is the clutch for you, as for daily driving i suggest you not get this clutch, get the street version.
Great clutch my Sti is about 450whp and it grabs so nice and holds great so far. The chatter goes down a lot after break in.
Very nice clutch feel

Q: 6 puck vs comp clutch twin disk philiprolle318076 years ago
I'm in the middle of a build and I'm torn between clutches. I'll be around the 600tq range and need to have something that's going to hold but be ok for daily driving, I know the pedal will be stiffer either way I go but would the twin disk be less of a workout, and stronger than the 6 puck

A: Both of the clutches you mentioned are going to be aggressive for daily driving. This ACT clutch has a higher torque rating and will possibly have a stiffer pedal.

Will this clutch make it harder to shift? i am a beggar looking for help

A: Engagement on a 6 puck clutch is going to be much more harsh than factory. The clutch will have a heavier pressure plate and while starting from a stop you will experience chatter. Once moving it shouldn't be much more difficult to engage but the pedal will be stiffer.
