I put this clutch with matching flywheel in my ‘04 Forester with a partial STI conversion and it fit right in, still early on in breakin period, but so far no complaints

Impressed with this clutch so far. I had it installed while getting a full motor build. I’m still working on my break in with about 800 miles so far. I can’t say how this clutch holds up over time or running on the track yet, but in terms of feel and noise it is great. It was a bit grabby initially as a new clutch should be, but it wore in quickly and it feels essentially the same as stock driving around time. Yes, it grabs a little harder, but it is not significant enough to effect drivability. Additionally, I have read some reviews about this clutch having lots of clatter or other noises, however that has not been my experience thus far. I haven’t experienced any noises from the clutch or abnormalities when compared to the stock clutch.

Have about 1 k on clutch. Showed up on time. Fit right in. Throw out bearing was squeaking for a bit when it got really cold but that seems to have gone away.

I don't understand what one reviewer was talking about with it making noise and chattering. I am still in the break-in stage with a little over 300 miles on it and everything is working fine. It definitely takes some getting used to compared to the stock clutch. You have to make sure your pedal is all the way engaged or it won't let you go into gear. It definitely bites the way it is supposed to. I am happy with it so far. A nice upgrade from stock for sure with-out going crazy. I'm excited to get some long life out of this.

Pedal feel was pretty good, grabbed a little higher than I personally like but great none the less. Clutch lasted about 12k miles, but that was with well over 100 launches. Most of them above 5000rpm. Car was making about 325wtq. Towards the end it started slipping bad on the launches but held up on my dyno day for ethanol at 360wtq (mustang dyno). Unfortunately my motor met it's demise which was the reason for me pulling the clutch. It was about 80-90% worn. My car will probably see the 6 puck in the future as I plan on being in the high 400's at the wheels.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: '07 Spec B clutch  Bobsyouruncl1 year ago

Hello, I am interested in this clutch. I have an 07 Spec B with light mods. I noticed that the fitment portion says 'needs STI flywheel.' Is my flywheel not an STI flywheel already as it is a 6mt? Do I need to purchase a new flywheel as well? If so Is the STI flywheel compatible on my car?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Yes, the Spec B and STI use the same flywheel. Some Legacy clutches require the WRX flywheel, which may be why the note popped up.

    • Q: 5 speed fitment   Slow one2 years ago

Will this work on my 5 speed sti trans?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  5 speed STi? I assume from a 93-01 Impreza yeah? If so, you would likely want to use the clutch kit for a 02-05 WRX, but you would want to check your stock clutch dimensions, if it's a push or pull style etc.. contact us if you have any questions. Thanks!

    • Q: fitment  Lhorn24243 years ago

I see on the list this product will work with a 2016 Subaru wrx STI base 6 speed but will this product work on my 2016 Subaru WRX base 6 speed that is around 360ft/tq
    • Q: Life expectancy   2016cwplimited4 years ago

What kind of life should I expect from this clutch at 380whp/380wtq, I don’t launch my car so it should be a bit longer than those who do correct?
    • Q: Clutch fiting   Silver subi guy 4 years ago

I own a 2002 wrx with a 2004 sti 6spd will this clutch fit. I am ordering an 04 because that’s the year of the tranny!? Thank you in advance
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You would need the clutch that matches the trans so this clutch is correct, however, I cannot confirm that it will work with your swap 100%
