I installed this on a hot day, so the glue was soft enough to get the OE one off easily and this one just slipped back into its place. I would have liked a weave matching the pattern on my shift knob, but that's a very minor gripe.

It was a pretty hot day when I changed my handle to this, so the glue was already soft and the OEM handle came off fairly easily. Then, I just had to slip this on. Piece of cake.
