This is the COBB Tuning Air / Oil Separator Kit. This AOS has been designed to be placed within your vehicle's crankcase ventilation system to prevent harmful oil vapors from entering your intake system. This can affect gas mileage, cause detonation, and have an overall effect on your performance. This particular AOS kit has been co-developed with IAG performance to provide you with a quality AOS kit that produces results. 

 

 

DETAILS:

  • Compact cast aluminum body with a black powder-coated finish
  • Heat shielding on the crankcase breather and oil return lines
  • Designed with a coolant bleeder valve
  • Bespoke COBB color combination

  • Port connections from the AOS to the cylinder head and to the top of the block
  • The bottom of the canister is shaped like a snail which redirects positive crank pressure into the same swirl pattern produced by the 3 side ports which allows for maximum oil drainage while separating oil from the air in all of the venting ports
  • The backplate of the AOS features a unique coolant routing system that heats the entire AOS to the same temperature of the engine which maximizes the evaporation of any water collecting inside of the can

      Can I use the Cobb AOS with a Oil Cooler?

        A:  Technically speaking this wouldn't affect the AOS, as they wouldn't connect the cooler to this unit. We do see upgraded oil coolers and the AOS being used at the same time.

      Will this interfere with an aftermarket JDM STI front strut tower bar? Or for that matter AC lines?

        A:  These will not interfere with your AC lines, however, most strut tower bars do not work with the IAG/Cobb AOS, we have been trying to compile a list of those that do, but so far have not had much luck.
