I purchased these for my 2005 WRX STI, they are listed as a 20mm drop front and rear (3/4"). The front is a great height and they look good. They were easy to install as well. The rear struts had about an 1 1/2" drop and were way too low. These struts require disassembly and the installation of a 1" lift spacers and extended studs for the car to sit level all the way around. This is not something that you can do at home in your garage, (l have a shop to work out of). I can't believe that my car is the only one that has this issue. They seem like a pretty good option but plan on lifting the rear of the car if you don't want a saggy butt on your car. Just don't expect to put these in and be happy with the rear of your car. Pedders seems to have issues with rear height on lowering springs for some reason. This is my second time dealing with pedders springs being way to low in the rear. Just keep that in mind when modifying your car. But they seem good quality and bolted up to my car great.
So I have a 06 sti and I’ve lived with the stock suspension for about 10 years now. To be honest I wanted to get the kw v1, but with 3 kids, I couldn’t justify it over the family. When I saw the pedders ez kit I was intrigued that a all in one product was finally available for the GD sti. There were very little reviews out there but I took a chance anyways. It was about $600 on sale. My wish was to get rid of the horrid bobble head and harsh ride my family hates when we are in the car. So I got it and installed it! It took about 5.5 hours with tie rod install. It’s not hard, but a lot of the bolts and nuts are the original ones which have never been touched since factory production, making them hard to take off. Having two people helps, in fact I wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself. Install from a local shop quoted me $400. My impressions are.. compared to the stock suspension of a GD sti. It’s definitely more comfortable! Gone is the bobble head effect. Not every imperfection in the road is as jarring anymore. I do notice that at some bumps, it takes an extra second to settle itself though. The bad thing about this set is that the springs are softer than stock. The steering wheel now turns with a initial squish, not as responsive as the stock kit. I personally had the impression that these would at least be a little sportier than stock, but they were not. I traded sportiness for ride comfort. I guess that’s what I originally wanted, but I do miss the sportiness. It’s a good budget replacement, but I wouldn’t get it for increased performance, just ride comfort.
So I have been searching for the best price four corner struts package for my sti just to keep me going. My old struts had eibach lowering springs and the struts were bottoming out and tops hats were cracked. I bought these knowing nothing about them other than the company is out of Australia and it has good reviews for their products. I got them and installed them. Took me a couple hours due to one top hat being in the wrong position and didn’t line up with the rear spindle. Once installed and car aligned it looks good. Two fingers wide of clearance on rear wheels and a little more than two fingers wide in the front. Rides a ton better than the eibach lowering springs and worn out struts. Handling is better than stock but not as good as coilovers. Ride quality is better than coilovers and a little stiffer than stock. I would highly recommend these for a quick suspension replacement. Difficulty of install is 2.5/5 stars.

If I already have a lowering spring package in mind to buy (eibach pro plus kit) can I just buy the shocks/struts to use with the lowering spring package?

A: Hello, Yes you can but the other parts separately. You will need PED-149154L and PED-149154R for the front struts, and you will also need PED-4358 Bump Stops and PED-4351 Dust Boots for both front struts. The front offset top mount can be purchased as PED-580096. You will need to reuse your OEM front upper strut mount and conical washer. The rear struts are PED-149155L and PED-149155R and require PED-4350 Bump Stops and PED-4351 Dust Boots. The rear shock mount can be purchased as PED-580091 and the OEM upper strut mount would need to be reused.
