One of the most effective bolt-ons on any turbocharged vehicle is an upgraded downpipe. This is the COBB Tuning GESI Catted Downpipe fabricated from 304 stainless steel. Although the factory downpipe is functional, it is restrictive to be universally compliant with all local regulations. If you perform modifications such as an intake where it allows the turbo to inhale substantial amounts of air, then you could be making the turbo work harder to exhale the power through the factory exhaust system.
The COBB Tuning GESI downpipe has been designed with smoother bends which will reduce exhaust turbulence. When combined with larger piping diameter you get more horsepower, more torque, improved throttle response, and a more aggressive exhaust tone under acceleration. Additional features include a 200 cell count high flow catalytic converter along with a machined turbo flange and a durable flex section which will absorb road vibration.
This downpipe is compatible with both the factory cat back exhaust system or the COBB Cat-Back. Included with this downpipe is an adapter, as well as a clamp to make it ready for the installation.
Note that tuning is required when installing an upgraded downpipe.
