Ohh boy. Okay. I autocross my 2011 STI. It's still on the stock suspension. One of the biggest issues I have is body roll, and more specifically not enough camber up front. I had the max negative camber that the OEM settings would allow, and my front tires would roll over pretty bad. One of the ways to get more camber up front without swapping to coilovers with an adjustable top hat is to use aftermarket camber bolts. Which I absolutely do not want to do. The only other way to get more negative camber then is by offsetting the top of the strut. Which is where these guys come in. I was looking at both these and the Whiteline Com C - which appear to be very similar (if not the same?) design. I opted to go with these. I have these set up in their max caster/max camber positions. I gained almost a full degree of caster, and a full degree of camber. Which is amazingly good. The car feels much better now on the course, turn in feels really good, the tire is not rolling over like it used to, and additional caster helps with dynamic camber and a stronger "return to center" feeling on the steering wheel. This is probably one of the single best mods you could make for front end grip - assuming you are willing to run a more aggressive negative camber. My car went from about 1.3 negative camber to about 2.3 negative camber. Installation was a bit of a bear, only because the STI springs are pretty short height-wise, so not many coils for a spring compressor to grab on to. As long as your spring compressor can support the short length needed then installation is not bad at all. As for quality, it's too early to tell. The rubber used is supposed to be a little harder than the OEM ones. We'll see how the bearings hold up with the new angle from the strut shaft. I don't daily my car, I used it a couple times a month for autocrosses, so I won't put tons of miles on these. I don't know how they would hold up with constant driving. So far they don't make any noise or anything, but then they only have 2 events on them at this point. Time will tell. Keep in mind that unlike the Whiteline versions, these do NOT have a dust cover for the top. So if that bothers you, consider looking at the Whiteline version - though they tend to be more expensive. Overall, for me, it's an easy 5 stars. The added caster and negative camber is totally worth it. The alternative is to go to coilovers with an adjustable top hat. That can get quite pricey, especially for the coilovers I would want to run for motorsports. This serves as a perfect stop-gap solution in the meantime. I can keep costs down, continue using my stock suspension, and achieve better then OEM max negative camber, with - and here's the best part - no change to the adjustment process. When getting an alignment, the tech does what they normally do on a factory car. No aftermarket camber bolts to screw around with. They use the factory camber bolt. Easy peasy. For someone who drives normally on the street, I'm not sure these are totally worth it. For someone doing motorsport (road racing, autocross) that doesn't want to jump to coilovers yet, these are the ticket. Just make sure they are class legal! :)
