Love the tone of this exhaust; not too loud, but not too quiet either. Install was simple and took just a few minutes which can be attributed to the perfect fitment of this exhaust. The welds on this exhaust are absolutely gorgeous.
I purchased this item and have had this on my 08 sti since 2015, got tuned and have been running this since. Great for show and play. The rumble and deep tone are expressed well with this exhaust, still backfires and sounds amazing.
Bought this about a year ago and haven't had any regrets. From stock to this it's a huge difference in sound. At idle its got that nice purr. No drone at highway speeds and when stepping on the fun peddle it'll turn heads fersure. Compared to other exhausts and hearing others I'd say it's more deep of a sound than any others. Great looking too and really good craftsmanship. Those welds... Fits the dual cutouts in the back great as well. No rust, just as shiny as when I first got it.

Q: Straight bolt on? Totalnoobie4 years ago
Will this require any adapter from stock DP or just straight bolt on ?

A: With the stock DP, this should bolt straight up. We would suggest getting a new donut gasket for a perfect seal.

Q: Exhaust Tips Bender Rodriguez4 years ago
What's the diameter of the exhaust tips? Also, I notice there appears to be a bevel on the inside of the tips. Is the bevel unique to the 515101 part number, where the 515100 part number did not have this?

A: The tip diameter is 3.5". The bevel on these tips is slightly different than COB 515100, which has been discontinued.

Q: Will it fit a invidia catless downpipe? parufka5 years ago
Will this 3in Cobb catback match up with a 3in Invidia downpipe or does it taper down to 2.5inch?
-
-

following answer helpful
A: Cobbs exhaust will actually taper down to 2.5 where the downpipe meets the catback. If you plan on going with that set up we would recommend getting a 3in downpipe to 2.5in cat back adapter.

Q: Difference between 515100 and 515101? Wes6 years ago
How is this different from the old 515100 you previously carried, will they sound the same?

A: The 515101 is an updated cat back that has improved clearance for the rear subframe. The two exhausts will sound the same, however it is recommended to get the newer part number.
