    • Q: dB and subjective volume comparison of Tourin Edition  theicewall250454 years ago

      It is easy to determine the tonal character and timbre of an exhaust in a video, but nearly impossible to compare relative sound amplitudes. Please compare the loudness/quietness to stock and Q300 as it seems that this is less loud than the Cobb, Perrin, Gemini 400, etc volume exhausts. Do you have dB metrics from warm and cold idle, 3k, 6.5k or some other metric of comparison?

        A:  Although we do not have a decibel measurement available for those exhausts, I have had the AWE Touring on my personal vehicle before. I would say that the volume is most similar to the R400 out of the exhausts that you listed. It's very reasonable on the freeway with little to no drone, but still on the louder side when you put your foot down. Keep in mind though, I was running it with the OEM downpipe. Volume will vary a fair bit for each catback depending on which downpipe you're running it with.
