Q: Difference in this one Vs. Other AEM CAI Vangy1 year ago
I notice that there's 2 options for the 2020 STI. This one and the other one. The heat shield design is different. Can you chime in as in to why they are?

A: It looks like we may need to update these part numbers, this part number (AEM21-863WR) is for the 2019-2020 STI, the other option (AEM21-836WR) is for 2018 only. I'm not sure why AEM has a product for one model year only though, and the part numbers are really close, adding in to the confusion.

Will this fit front mount setups if you don’t use the heat shield?

A: We have not tested to confirm and I'm not able to find anyone using this intake with a front mount. We can't say for certain, but chances are your FMIC manufacturer also sells an intake that would work.

A: I tried to fit the 2018 Cold Air on my '19. The front air duct doesnt fit, and the heatshield has to be kinda warped to fit and comes in contact with the maf pipe.
