Features & Product Details

One of the ways that you can improve the response in your engine is by adding a lightweight pulley set. Lightweight pullies have less rotational mass when compared to OEM pullies and less rotational mass means that you will have improved engine response for a little bump in both power and torque.

This is the Go Fast Bits 3-Piece Underdrive Pulley Kit which includes the crank pulley, and both alternator and power steering pullies. These pullies have been crafted from aircraft grade aluminum materials and will come in an anodized black finish to blend in well with your engine bay, while getting extra protection against rust and corrosion.

This pulley kit will come with a set of serpentine belts to make this kit ready for installation.

I've had various crank pulley kits on different cars and it's usually something I don't shy away from doing early on. A free revving motor really make a huge difference in driving feel, especially on aggressive shifts and rev-matching down shifts. This kit is better than all of them that I've tried. I have a NA 2.5RS with mostly suspension mods and a lightweight flywheel, and this car is an absolute blast to push to the limit, and I honestly couldn't believe it was possible, but this kit actually made the car MORE fun to drive. Really quality parts. The pulleys look clean, very light, packaged well, Gates belts. No complaints anywhere on appearance or function. All 3 pulleys are significantly smaller than stock. Install was very straight forward, the instructions were spot on, though I did use a strap vice clamp tool (against instructions) to aid in holding the alternator pulley. It was very difficult to get off even with an impact wrench. Belt fitment is spot on, pretty similar to where I had everything adjusted to with stock belts. 17mm, 22mm, and 24mm wrenches and sockets needed for all the pulleys, plus 10 and 12 for the shroud and belt adjustment. The alternator did need a slim socket with the GFB pulley, the regular one I had didn’t fit to bolt it on. I did also have to unbolt my cooling fans, but I’m running a forester aluminum radiator and it’s a lot bigger than stock, so might not be something that needs to be mentioned. Revs really are a lot faster, most noticeable when downshifting, but it seems anxious to get started when starting too. The AC does spin slightly slower at idle/low RPM, so I'd say either RaceCar and just drive it more aggressively, or deal with it. Cruising speeds get ice cold AC for the hot days.,
