This is the Radium Engineering Crankcase Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit. Oil catch cans are essential on a performance vehicle to protect the engine from elevated levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated from high-performance driving conditions. Excess oil-saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can lead to degraded performance. Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN drain port, a 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-rnig sealed dipstick.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Installs immediately behind the LH headlight and plumbs inline with the crankcase vent hose

The crankcase vent hose connects from the port on the valve cover to the turbo air intake pipe

When the engine is at high load (WOT), this hose will experience flow out of the engine and into the intake pipe

This draws unwanted crankcase vapors, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the air filter intake pipe, and turbocharger compressor

This could also lead to oil collecting in the intercooler which can effect the thermal efficiency while decreasing the performance

The catch can kit will help collect the contaminants before they can get to the intake pipe

Anodized aluminum hose ends and adapter fittings

Enough PCS hose for custom applications

Stainless steel mounting hardware

NOTES:

On 2010-2016 X models that use the "plastic" valve cover the hose is 1/3" (13mm) and requires Radium part number 20-0106-10 (sold separately)

This kit has been designed with the OEM intake system - If an aftermarket intake is installed, consider purchasing the Radium Alternate Mount part number 20-0300 (sold separately)
