PIA to install if you dont have the exact right tools. learn from my mistake and make sure the lower pan drain nut is able to be removed. youll need a t-70 for the other drain be sure to have one of those too. make sure to get a fluid pump that screws onto the container also. took care of my 4th gear grind and rows through gears like a champ.
I've used this fluid for 3 transmission fills. I usually runaround 75k miles between changes. My car us stock 2006 wrx. 302k miles . Original everything, including clutch. The drain plug always has a thick paste of metal on it that I wipe off. Never any grinding. Always smooth shifting. I always notice it shifts better after driving it hard and shifting a lot. Once the temps rise. The box shifts smooth as hell.
Changed my fluid out with Subaru oem fluid and after hard driving, when the temperatures were up I would get grinds in 4th gear. Decided to try motul gear 300 and the problem went away. Also shifting was much smother. This is the only fluid I will use in my trans and rear diff from now on.
Changed my trans and diff fluid being that I have no idea if these fluids have been changed before and I bought the car used at 64k miles, now has 71k. Shifting feels very smooth and the trans is a bit more quiet. I will be buying this again
I have tried mobil 1, shaeffers gear oil, and oem fluid. Neither make a noticable difference like motul300. Daily driving is much better and i noticed a big improvement on 1st and reverse. The only downside is its pricey, but you cant cheap out on these cars.

A: Yes, this would work great in your 2007 STI's Transmission/Front Diff and Rear Diff! Unfortunately, we do not offer a complete Front/Gear Gear Oil Package.. But, you would need 3.8qts for the transmission/front diff and 0.9qts for the rear.. So to be safe I would recommend 5 bottles total!

My 08 Legacy GT 5mt has a bad synchro bearing. Would the Motul oil help or hurt the failing bearing?

A: There is a possibility of this allowing the bearing to live longer but ultimately the transmission will need to be rebuilt.
