Here, you are looking at the Boomba Racing N Intake Manifold Spacer. This spacer features billet aluminum construction, and it has been designed to add volume to the air entering your head. This has been shown to aide in cylinder filling at lower RPMs while smoothing out throttle response, build boost sooner, and lengthen the effective wave pulse of the intake charge. By adding volume, you are essentially lengthening the intake runner, which leads to torque coming on a bit earlier.
