This is the GrimmSpeed Catted Downpipe. This downpipe is the result of countless hours invested in research and development to provide the performance consumer with a quality product guaranteed to deliver performance. This is a direct replacement of the OEM downpipe that is highly restrictive and leaves much room on the table for improvement. The GrimmSpeed unit combines smooth bends and a larger piping diameter to remove as much turbulence from the exit path of the turbocharger which will add more horsepower, and more torque while reducing the turbo lag.

This downpipe looks fantastic with the double pipes and sounds really good (mated with Invidia G200). One note, you will need a bigger turbo heat shield or modify the stock one. I had to cut some of my stock heat shield out to fit the two pipes. Fitment is perfect, every bolt or tab lined up no problem at all. Welds are really good quality and the bends look perfect. Great great quality. Highly recommended!
Just installed this today with the cobb cat back exhaust and all I can say is Bazinga!! This downpipe is absolutely amazing. Coming from a cat less downpipe on my 2006 WRX Wagon there is absolutely no comparison between the two. The welds on this pipe are beautiful and it just looks like business all the way around. I was surprised at how much room you have in between the pipe and the firewall. My old cat less pipe basically touched the firewall and was a bit of an eye sore. Boost comes on a little later then my old set up but it feels so much more linear and predictable. I can tell my car is very appreciative of this downpipe. Waste gate noise is wonderful and I am now a believer in the divorced waste gate design. All in all you can not go wrong with anything Grimmspeed, especially this downpipe. Thanks again RSD!
The fitment is perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to see how great this item was packaged. It bolted right up to my current exhaust and was a breeze to install. 5/5 stars
Bought this downpipe for my 2007 Subaru WRX, for a variety of reasons: it looks like a very well engineered and very well built piece, it came with Grimmspeed's high praised downpipe gaskets(which are indeed about twice as thick as the OEM gasket), it was on sale at the time, and it comes with Grimmspeed's reputation for very high quality products. While removing the factory downpipe, two rusted spring bolts ended up being broken, and I was concerned about using the solid bolts that were provided by Grimmspeed instead of using spring bolts. I was able to call Grimmspeed support and immediately speak with an engineer who was able to assure me that this situation was common and the solid bolts would be fine. The rest of the install actually involving their downpipe went flawlessly. The pipe fits and bolts up just like the OEM piece. No wrestling was needed, no vibrations after install either. The GrimmSpeed DP-to-Catback adapter was used on this install. Only had to re-torque the DP-to-Catback bolts the next day after running the car, and all has been well so far(about a week and a half). Overall this is an excellent downpipe for the WRX and I would recommend it to anyone shopping for one. Also, as a bonus, my downpipe shipped with two GrimmSpeed license plate covers, which looks fantastic on the car!

A: It will bolt up without issues. That said, certain aftermarket turbos will require a small part of the divider to be grinded down for proper clearance.

A: Unfortunately this was not the case for me. I bought this downpipe based off the staff answer above, and the divider plate ended up blocking the waste gate on my Blouch TDO5H-16GXT 7cm^2 from fully closing and causing my turbo to over boost. The pipe you can tell is constructed really well, and all the welds are top notch, but this DOES NOT fit with a Blouch 16GXT. Call Grimmspeed to verify which turbo's this pipe works with before purchasing.
