So far like it better than stock.. just wondering if the adhesive will hold on the top. only time will tell.

Excellent OEM upgrade

This Duracon shift knob is an excellent upgrade. I have a 2016 STi Limited with a short throw shifter. The leather/aluminum knob that came installed just never felt right, so it had to go. Glad I found this OEM replacement. The faux carbon fiber shift pattern insert matches the carbon fiber interior of my vehicle and is a nice little detail. This shift knob feels great in the hand, takes seconds to install, and really lets me feel the mechanical linkage while shifting. Money well spent!

Great for feel
d_c 2 years ago
Very light compared to stock STi shifter and slightly taller. (2015 STi) If you like a knotchy shifter and want to really feel the transmission this is great. With the STi's mechanical linkage combined with my OEM upgraded shifter bushing and the OEM short throw shifter, there is a lot of feedback. Feels great, very smooth, I like the shape and size. With the carbon fibre pattern on the sticker it matches my interior and looks great to.

Love it

My stock knob was starting to wear down so time for a freshie. Great piece a little larger than stock and nice and smooth, feels great in the hand. Would recommend to anyone looking for a change.

Nice oem knob

I really like this knob a lot. I really like that's it's oem. My only issue is the carbon fiber which doesn't go with anything in my car but the knob is awesome and I'd definitely say it gets five stars.

  • Q: Weight  SadPanda 3 years ago

What is the weight of this knob compared to the stock 05 STI?

    • A: We do not have an exact weight on the knob by itself but the shipping weight is approximately 4.5 oz. The approximate weight of the factory shift knob is 2.5 oz.

I'm going to go ahead and ask even though I am pretty sure I know the answer... 1. Is the thread pitch on the STI knobs the same as on a WRX knob? I have a shifter extension on my WRX and can't use knobs that have the boot collar on the bottom [WRX-specific knobs]. 2. I see in the pictures this comes with the STI shift pattern but I have seen images online of this knob with just STI on the knob rather than the shift pattern. Do you carry this other model?

    • A: The WRX and STI both use 12x1.25 mounting threads. Unfortunately we are not able to get the sticker that does not have the shift pattern at this time.
