This is the Invidia Up-Pipe. This up-pipe makes for an excellent exhaust upgrade as the factory up-pipe can rob you of power and performance. Over time and mileage, and several heat cycles, the insides of the factory downpipe can break apart which can block the flow path of the turbocharger. This can make your vehicle feel weak and down on power, while your turbocharger works harder to reach boost levels that fall short of your factory settings. This can also cause premature wear to your turbocharger while creating an excessive amount of heat from the factory up-pipe. Invidia relieves this issue with their up pipe as it has been designed with a smooth bend to allow for unobstructed exhaust flow starting right at the turbocharger. This will allow for a better turbo response which will also create more horsepower and more torque.

very sturdy up pipe, mates up to the turbo perfectly, and gives a bit of tone boost. would recommend looking at the procedure, if you torque bolts in the wrong order it will leak for certain due to how rigid and flat the surface is on the up pipe . install is relatively simple if youre at this point. but to some newer to wrenching might seem daunting. comes with block off bolt which surprised me! would recommend grimmspeed gaskets

Hey, what gaskets fits 2008 sti with this invidia uppipe? Stock?
very well made , was easier to install when intook the turbo out .
I don't recommend this, cracked after 2 years of casual/spirited use in new england weather. Go for the grimmspeed instead. You get what you pay for.

A: It wont automatically void your warranty, but a warranty claim may be denied if they can prove that the problem was caused by this part. If your car came with a catless uppipe from factory, you will not need a tune.
