Features & Product Details
If your car is feeling low on power, or if you simply want to give the car more power, then you will be pleased with the COBB Tuning Stainless Steel Catless Uppipe. In some cases, the materials inside your factory uppipe cat break apart and can cause an air blockage to your vehicle. This can hinder engine response, and it could bring more turbo lag to your vehicle, and make it feel more sluggish than normal.
The COBB Tuning Uppipe has been fabricated from CNC bent 14-gauge 2" diameter polished stainless steel tubing which can handle the perils of intense gas temperatures that is generated by the turbocharger. Furthermore, this design eliminates the flex joint section which has known to be a weak point in the factory uppipe.
As a complementary gift, COBB includes a license plate frame with this uppipe.

So one day just before I got home, my neighbor came running out to my car and he said “nobody want to here your fuckin car” so since then I’ve gone a full three inch straight pipe and now this beautiful uppipe so now everybody can hear my loud ass car weather they want to or not:) Thanks Cobb!!!!
This up pipe mated up perfectly to the OEM turbo and manifold. No leaks at the flanges, and no more broken OEM heat shields. Excellent build quality - not even any cosmetic imperfections. Hardest part of the install was removing the original: dropped the manifold, loosened one engine mount, raised the engine slightly, and it came right out.
Overall i am really impressed with the build quality of the Cobb up pipe. I have a 2005 Outback XT Limited and it had the dreaded stock up pipe with a cat, and EGT sensor in it. I bought this along with a Cobb Bellmouth catted downpipe, so when i installed both of those plus a COBB tune, needless to say a HUGE difference in performance. Currently stage 2 93 octane tune and it runs great. Turbo spools up quicker and has better all around performance. I would like to ad that it was not easy to fit the up pipe to the Turbo. I ended up slightly bending one of the studs on the up pipe to fit it easier. On top of that, in my particular car, once the up pipe was fitted you later find out when you go to install the downpipe that the studs from the up pipe are slightly in the way of the downpipe mounting area. Not a big deal because we have a grinder and just trimmed them down, but some people may not have a grinder and that is a huge delay if so!! Once it was all installed i was super pleased that it not only took away the rattling from the old up pipe, but its much more throaty sounding and runs so much better. Very happy i did this upgrade and would definitely recommend to a friend! Just keep in mind those problems that i ran into. Hope it helps. -Cheers
I just couldn't wait for this to come through the mail. unfortunately i didn't realize this item didn't come with gaskets, i have a 2005 wrx and i was wondering how do i find the gaskets for this product?
I bought this for installation by a very good shop on my 2007 WRX, at their recommendation. Since they did the installation I can't comment directly on the fit of the part, but I was unable to refrain from opening the box when it arrived at my home. I was quite impressed by the virtually flawless welds of the flanges to the polished stainless pipe. Certainly beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have done a tiny bit of welding, and I have a feel for the skill required to do the fine quality of welding on that part. That said, getting the car back from the shop was a real treat; its responsiveness was quite noticeably improved, coupled with the down-pipe and the ECU remapping done with the Access Port. All in all, just what I had hoped for.
