It comes in a nice packaging. Really easy to install and it doesn’t take long to install. It’s really helpful that I can switch my tune when ever I want to and I can also adjust my rpm and launch control. Really happy with the product!!
My expectations of the Cobb accessport exceeded what they deliver. $675 for essentially a scanguage. It comes with off the shelf maps which is subpar at best. Never a good idea in my opinion. I'd say the only advantage is you can have a tuner email you a map that will allow you to limp the car to get a proper tune. The worst part is if you are capable of tuning yourself, you have to pay an additional $150 to watch some YouTube videos that Cobb will then certify you are capable of tuning. I guess we can thank everyone who threw a stage 3++ tune on their stock WRX and then went after Cobb as if it was their fault. If they are going to charge that price for a device, the education to it should be included. Rallysport was the best part about ordering and accepting my return. I like Cobb's products, except for this one. A proper dyno tune is around $500 and I will recommend this over the $675+ dollars for a Cobb "tune" any day of the week.
First I want to thank John C for taking care of my order. He helped big time!! Kudos to him. To my Subaru family, buy this first before any mod. I did it backwards and got it at the end (amature move) but it’s perfect for any and every setting. A lot of good features and tuners wouldn’t touch your car without it.
Awesome tool with plenty of features to keep you satisfied until you wish to move on to a protune.
I bought this for my 2005 Outback XT, mostly for the engine monitoring, but also to flash ECU maps. The tuning capabilities are great, but the engine data monitoring is what makes it worth it. It can do anything a high dollar OBD2 diagnostic computer can do. I'd been told it's one of the best bang-for-your-buck mods you can do, and I agree. My only gripe is the stand it comes with sucks. I went to Walmart and got a universal vent mouned cell phone holder for it for about $10, and it's perfect.

Q: Cobb ap2 to ap3 Bbejarr5 months ago
I had a Ap2 Accesport that broke and was wondering if the ap3 is able to connect without having to disconnect the older one since it no longer turns on

A: Yes, without umarrying your AP2 it would be worthless, which shouldn't matter since it's broken, but you can install the AP3 over it.

Q: Usage Raphael H.7 months ago
So I have a check engine light on and I’m trying to find out what the exact problem is, so my friend has an access port for his 2004 WRX and I have a 2005 STI so if I hook his access port up to my car will it have any negative affect?

A: You will not be able to use the accessport until you unmarry the accessport from the 2004 WRX first. This will return the WRX back to the stock tune. Then you can use it on your STI to check diagnostics.

It’s not specified if it comes with the connector or not. But as a new product it should come with it. Why does it not??

A: Hi, The V3 Accessport will come with a mount, 2 cables (one to connect to your vehicle and the other for data logging and updates), and a soft case to protect your Accessport when not in use.
