The heritage of Tomei’s race program reaches back to 1968. The founder, Seiichi Suzuki was heavily involved in Japan’s local motorsport scene. • Inside the muffler includes a punched mesh canister also made from titanium materials and a 1mm thickness. It has an open slot ratio of 32.6% with a high-flow design that delivers an aggressive race-inspired exhaust note.
• Inside the muffler is long fiber glass wool threads to help suppress any excessive exhaust noises. These glass wool threads can endure extensive high temperatures for a longer period of time when compared to traditional fiberglass muffler threads.
• The included connecting springs are a hook and spring design that allows the pipe to have some movement and flexibility to absorb vibrations.
• 80mm main piping diameter to allow the exhaust gases to flow with no restrictions.

 

PRECISION WELDS:

• The Tomei Expreme Titanium features precision JDM pie-cut style welds because titanium is not only difficult to weld, but also to bend. Careful methods were used to achieve the best results with strength, durability, quality, and finish.

 

WEIGHT:

• At 24lbs / 11kg, the Tomei Expreme Ti Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust System for the 2002-2007 Subaru WRX and STI models is slightly less than half of the weight of the OEM cat-back exhaust system which is at 50 lbs.
