Short shifters not only reduce the distance in throw from one gear to the next, they also shorten the overall height, making the shift knob sit lower in the vehicle. Add a set of shifter bushings and you have a EXTREMELY tight shift from one gear to the next. Short shifters are also a great way to reduce 1/4 mile times at the drag strip by allowing you to shift through your gears faster. Remember, the more time you spend shifting, the less time you spend accelerating. |
