I mounted this light bar on my 2002 wrx (bug-eye) ; I do quite a bit of evening driving on unlit/dark expressways here in the Midwest. I use four Hella HID FF-1000's! Two on this bar and two in the OEM locations. The fit and finish of this product is very good BUT....there are a couple of potential issues you should be aware of. 1) If you have the Prodrive lip/chin attached to your facia cover you will have to "slot" it so that the light bar brakets can slide through it and mount up to there proper locations (you Must do this, otherwise you will have to remove the prodrive piece. 2) If you utilize a large front mount IC , such as the APS unit, you may have mounting problems: This bar mounts to the front bumper (steel) assembly behind the facia cover. So, if you had to remove that OEM bolt on bumper to install the light weight bumper bar to make room for that extra large IC , you will have nothing to mount the light bar to!!!!! That is, the light bar mounts directly to the front OEM bumper (down low). Hope this helps. |
