Due to the heavily void rear suspension sub frame, large cross member misalignment and movement can be noticed and observed during hard constant cornering giving a sensation of the rear end squirming around. Having the large voiding in the rear bushing also allows the rear cradle to change the suspension alignment dynamically allowing toe angle changes to the rear suspension during cornering. By fitting inserts into the voiding dramatically reduces the effect of this and allows a more positive feel from the rear end during cornering.

PITA to install
MostlyMonkeys 6 months ago
If you're going to install these yourself MAKE SURE you line up the bolts and hand tighten all the way before putting any pressure on them. Tons of people cross thread these trying to put it back together. Real PITA lining it back up. After install, car feels SOLID. Good results. Hard work.

Takes about an Hour to install

I used a lift stand to hold up the Transmission while I unbolted the 4 bolts they hold on the rear end. It’s a must to have one so you don't allow the rear diff to drop to low when installing these inserts. It will be hard to get the top ones in so when you go to tighten the bolts back up it will slide right in. Little extra space between the bushings and the bolts now but works like a charm. You can really can feel it in the turns are is just perfect now. The car in general just feels more solid. But when you hit a pot hole you will notice the bump and it will be a little bit more rough so don't install these if you have crappy roads to drive on or it will make upset from the ride comfort. You really don’t notice the slop in the feel of the car until you install theses and sway bars. I also have whiteline 24mm front and rear sways with Kartboy endlinks.

I installed this kit a few days ago in my stage two GRB chassis sti and what a difference! Short of the sway bars, this has been the most profound difference I have felt in the way the car handles. Dramatic and positive change in how the car behaves in corners. NVH was negligible, Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to tighten up feel of their car.

Very nice, car is solid now.

Very nice upgrade. You only realize when putting these in that the entire rear end of the car is hanging on by four rubber bushings that can deflect around. Install was not too bad and the car feels solid and crisp now. There isn't any real vibration that I can notice. Very nice! 9/10 would bang.

Cheap Performance Upgrade pays big dividends

Easy to install if you are reasonably competent, these are a new MUST DO product on my list for WRX owners. It really allows the rear end to plant, especially under acceleration. Stupid cheap and awesome... best $55 ever spent I would say.

  • AnswerQ: whiteline rear pos. traction kit  buc2013 4 months ago

can I use this on my 2011 impreza N/A ?? have on the rear whitelines diff power kit inserts KDT 903 & WILL This kit help or do I really need this kit

    • A:

      Nick S. 4 months ago

    • A: This is confirmed for the 2011 2.5i, these will work along with the KDT903 and will have benefits in locking down the subframe from moving.

      Nick S. 4 months ago

    • A: Yes, this kit is confirmed to fit on the 2011 Impreza wagon and sedan N/A. This kit is designed to minimize the play/slop in the subframe under aggressive driving and would supply a noticeable improvement in rear end traction when combined with the KDT903 kit.

  • AnswerQ: Can these fit  devanthedude4202905 5 months ago

will these fit with the perrin subframe lockdown bushings?

    • A: These install in the same location and would likely not fit together.

Will this fit in tandem with the perrin subframe lock down bushings?

    • A: Essentially the perrin subframe lock down bushings are the same thing as this kit. But this whiteline kit would be stiffer and more secure. The perrin kit just sits on top of the mount as these actually lock into place on the mount.

  • AnswerQ: Are they worth it?  alienreptile 1 year ago

Do these help with reduction of the snap over steer, like the WHI-KDT-907?

    • A: This will help keep the rear end more solid, and help out during cornering These essentially will be just like the bushing.
