Good while it lasted

I bought it and the fuel pump just died one month later.

Does the job

This fuel pump was installed on my 2015 Subaru WRX STI. It came highly recommended for the fuel pump to be upgraded for the Stage 2 set up. Installation was smooth. It pumped the fuel my car needed during the multiple pulls from dyno tuning. However, it is loud. I hear loud high pitch buzzing from inside and outside cabin. It does go away from to time to time. It seem to be a normal thing for aftermarket fuel pumps regardless of brands. Otherwise, my STI runs great at Stage 2 with this fuel pump. It does the job well.

SUPER easy install. (just dont do it with a completely topped off tank, you will lose 5 gallons of fuel during install) but man, this thing is awesome. and i saw some reviews on forums saying it was loud, but, i dont hear it at all. almost like it isnt even working. but it is working id say. i ran over 500 miles already. so 5 stars

Install takes some time.

Not difficult to install but make sure you take your time. Also, make sure you DON'T have a full tank of gas... as this is very annoying.

Installed in my '10 STI. REQUIRED HOUSING MODIFICATION. (Dremel) Works great! A little noisy but I did not buy an STI for quiet ride.

  • AnswerQ: When is this needed?  sikknt 1 month ago

I'm running a 20GXTR and 750cc injectors, my tuner swears I don't need it but I see so many other STi's with my similar setup with this pump.

    • A: An upgraded fuel pump is recommended when you upgrade your injectors.

  • AnswerQ: Walbro 255LPH rating  AMX 3 months ago

What's the max at the wheel power can this pump support for 07 sti?

    • A: A fuel pump doesn't get rated for power, its classified by the amount of fuel it can provide. Normally this pump is good for around 365hp. Check with your tuner to see if this will be what you want for your power goals.

  • AnswerQ: Installation kit  bmxathon 11 months ago

What is the part number for the installation kit? I have a 2014 WRX hatchback.

    • A: Walbro does not offer an installation kit for this pump for 2008+ Subaru models because it is not a direct fit. Modification to the fuel pump housing is required for the 08+ models and you can use the 2002-2007 install kit.

  • AnswerQ: E85 and hp  Henry's04FozzyXT 12 months ago

I'm going to be running e85 with a build pushing 450 hp would this pump be sufficient

    • A: You would max the duty cycle of this pump with E85 at that power level. We recommend something around the 400lph mark.

  • AnswerQ: accessories to make it a kit  Kevroq 1 year ago

Will this fit 2015 STI and what other stuff will I need for the install (beside injector)

    • A: This is a universal part, so we are unable to confirm fitment. This pump may require modification to the stock fuel pump housing in order to fit. You would need to purchase the universal install kit in addition to the pump.
