Tomei has really done it this time. Notice a lack of a certain word in the title of this product? The missing word is tip. That word is missing because this is an entire Titanium exhaust at a very affordable price.

Tomei starts with the very best in raw materials and takes it to the next level. This is exhaust is about one thing and one thing only; performance. They have started by stripping the weight down to what feels like nothing compared to the stock exhaust. They did this by using titanium over steel and making the exhaust as straight as possible. Less bends means less materials used. They even went so far as to think about the extra weight regular style flanges add, so they went ahead and went with a weight saving spring and clamp setup.

So not only do you get the performance you expect from a Tomei product, you get the bragging rights too.

Awesome product; buy it and don't look back

In a quest to get that Subaru boxer tone back I ended up ditching my GT Spec equal length header and Fujitsubo Power Getter exhaust for a Tomei unequal length and this Tomei exhaust. The combination is amazing. It is loud however, so if that is not your style then you will not like this exhaust. That said it is one of the most free flowing and best built exhausts available for the STI. It is also a very clean and easy exhaust to install. Everything lines up the first time, all of the included hardware is top notch, and Tomei pretty much gives you a race exhaust with OEM fitment. No resonators or none of that crap, so the tone is deep, rumbly, and surprisingly livable on the highway. I wouldn't say that drone is non existant, but for an aftermarket exhaust it is very very minimal at highways speeds off the throttle. On the throttle is a whole different story.

Top 3 Exhaust for STI

Of all of the exhaust on the louder end the Tomei sounds the most refined. It has a nice deep low idle rumble that you can't get watching a video so its hard to explain. Then the way it builds up rasp with throttle is perfect. It comes with a silencer insert to reduce noise but it also changes the way the exhaust pulses sound and it sounds like garbage with the insert installed. It's as loud as an N1 Race or Nur Spec, but has a tone very unique. Very little to no drone but if you press the throttle the slightest in 5th or 6th you get rewarded with little rumble notes. Also the piping runs very straight and is one of the least restrictive i've seen in a 3 exhaust. Welds are all A+ and even came with 4 stickers and a Tomei stick on badge. Fitment was also perfect. This is the only part that has installed quick and clean on my car. Hangers lined up perfectly, clamps secured great, everything fit together smooth and tightened nice and smooth. Great product and worth every penny.

I installed this amazing exhaust with the Tomei v2 downpipe. It is amazingly light and the sound is incredible. I haven't turned my stereo on since it's been installed! Easily my favorite upgrade to the STi. It is a little expensive, but you get the very best quality in materials, fitment, looks, and performance.

Perfect Sound

This exhaust sounds a lot better than stock. You can tell a huge difference from easy driving to full throttle and it sounds amazing! I get a lot of compliments from people saying that they love the sound. If you want a great sounding exhaust thats light as a feather I highly recommend this Catback.

This thing is light, nice welds and perfect fitment! I had a jic ti unit on before and the tomei fit better and looks better. And the jic is 2k$

  • AnswerQ: Aesthetics of Expreme Ti  robbiexwhite 19 days ago

I'm currently torn between this exhaust (to go with my Tomei ELH and DP) or the HKS Super Turbo muffler for GDB-E. My question is, on your website, Tomei's English and Japanese product site list the tip diameter at 115mm, can you confirm the 4.5 inch tip as the Tomei video states the diameter as 150mm. Reasoning they're talking about the physical muffler diameter, not the tip. I want to be sure before I throw $1,000 at an exhaust I can stick my head in. Thank you.

    • A: The Tomei is 115mm in diameter for the tip, the piping diameter is about 75mm or close to 3 inches.

  • AnswerQ: Will this fit a Perrin Rotated Downpipe?  AbfSailor 3 months ago

Opps! I asked my previous question on the wrong part. I needed the 2002 - 2007 model. (Is there a way to retract my question?) Hi, Can someone please confirm if this exhaust will bolt up perfectly to this downpipe? Thanks!!

    • A: Perrin's rotated kit is designed to mate up to a stock location catback and it should fit fine with this catback.

  • AnswerQ: Adapter question  NuTypeR 6 months ago

Hello, I am currently running a Prodrive downpipe with my bugeye, which I believe is 2.5. Since this exhaust is 3, do I need to run an adapter to remove the risk of having an exhaust leak? thanks

    • A: A stock downpipe to 3 catback adapter may work, another option would be running a thick crush gasket like the Remflex gaskets. Unfortunately we do not offer the Prodrive and do not have a way to confirm fitment with either setup.

If I want loud without sounding like a civic then this is the one I want right? (06 STi)

    • A: This is one of the loudest exhaust systems we carry for the STIs and as long as you are not swapping to equal length headers the deep tone should remain.
