This gauge is designed to be mounted on the OEM Cluster Hood.

the gauge matches the factory dash very nicely but I would suggest getting a aftermarket pod for your cluster or pillar, as the mount it comes with is a little cheap.

Looks nice until it doesn't anymore

I went through three of these in the first year. They kept needing to be replaced because after a few months the light would start flickering. Finally on the 4th one, it lasted me for about 4 years, and is now beginning to flicker again. I would definitely recommend finding a different boost gauge. You can find better ones a lot cheaper than this.

Looks great but poor quality

Purchased and installed by Subaru. On my 3rd one now, first stopped reading pressure and the second light started flickering. Glad it was replaced under warranty. Matches dash perfectly but poorly made.

The kit itself is very clean oem-style install -- comes with harness, good instructions, no soldering oem connectors, clean install, gauge faceplate is very nice as it matches the rest of the car. But for the money, the quality is underwhelming. Mechanical gauge? noisy/buzzy, needle flutters on road bumps, needle is really inaccurate at +10psi. The tubing and t-taps are very cheap, expected better quality for oem. My particular kit was defective -- there is some issue with the clockside harness connector that caused problems blowing a fuse and making my entire speedometer not work. very strange. In any case, rallysportdirect has been very good to me and arranged for refund, with very fast response. (thanks) -- i really wish this kit worked well but alas i give up.

  • AnswerQ: Fitment for 05 Legacy GT  devon_mazz 2 years ago

I saw that the website said that this boost gauge was not compatible for my 05 LGT but I thought that all boost gauges were universal? Does the boost gauge itself work for my car? Is it just the mount that doesn't work for my car? I'm confused.

    • A: SPT made this gauge specifically for the 08+ WRX/STI & 09+ Forester to be and plug and play installation and the wiring will be specifically for those cars. You can use this on a different vehicle and some modification will be required.

  • AnswerQ: Gauge size  BJJMark95 2 years ago

What size is this gauge? I was wondering because I was debating about changing mine out in the future for a 30 psi gauge and wanted to know if with the same mounting cup all I would need would be a different gauge.

    • A: This is a 52mm gauge. Thank you!
