This plug replaces the stock main oil galley plug with a threaded oil galley plug. The threads inside the plug will allow for fitment of 1/8" PT thread gauges. Makes installation of oil pressure/temperature gauges easy by just replacing one of three stock oil galley locations.

please fix the product description.

Product is fine, but description is MISLEADING. I should have read further, but when I saw 1/8pt I foolishly assumed that it meant 1/8 Npt, which is the STANDARD in America. Wasted $18. Be sure you know what you are getting.

Worked great with the nickel plated brass T I USED to keep the stock OEM dummy light sensor and the defi sending unit, everything fit just right under the alternator.

This allowed me to install my DEFI Oil Pressure gauge on a blank plug on the block. Subaru didn't have it, RSD did. I would highly recommend this.

I tapped the threads to Npt to use it with my Aem Oil pressure gauge. No leaks but would have liked to know it comes with Bpt.

Make sure to get this!

Installed this in my new FR-S. Very easy to install on this newer FA20 engine. I would recommend a lower profile oil pressure sender unit since this galley plug is somewhat close to the throttle body plug harness. Installed a Defi gauge there was clearance to fit the sender unit. If using a larger sender unit I would highly recommend a relocation kit.

  • AnswerQ: How many  2011 WRX STI 13 days ago

can we fit 2 of these on an Ej257 for oil temperature and oil pressure?

    • A: Your engine comes with one of these adapters for the stock oil pressure sensor, and you can add one more for an aftermarket oil pressure sensor. If you plan on using aftermarket oil pressure and temperature sensors, then we recommend installing the temp sensor in the oil pan and pressure sensor on the engine, or use both in a sandwich plate adapter.

  • AnswerQ: where is it located?  STI dude 8 months ago

I have some defi guages and id like to add an advance bf oil press and temp to my setup. Where would I find this plug so I can install these?

    • A: There are multiple pre-tapped locations on the stock block. The most common location is located behind/underneath the alternator! Thank you!

  • AnswerQ: Torque Spec  jagdeepgrewal 1 year ago

What is the torque spec for this plug?

    • A: Torque specs will be the same as the OEM galley plug but unfortunately we do not have these available. It is likely to be 20-30ft/lbs but it would be best to verify with the dealer or a service manual.

  • AnswerQ: Will I need something different?  Shawn 1 year ago

So originally I ran the mishimoto sandwich block adapter to run my AEM oil pressure gauge. Since installing it became more of a nuisance to adjust and re adjust with each oil change, not to mention I think after my long hauls in the road from Alaska to Minnesota fried the wires. I'm skeptical that it's reading correctly because the pressures were way off from when I originally installed it. Had the oil pressure checked out after I blew the turbo and they were still normal. So my question is do I get this or something else that has the 1/8 NPT threads like I need? Like the killer b motorsports plug? Any help from anyone would be awesome. Just want to get my gauge back in the fight again. Oh, and the only location I was able to route from the sandwich plate was right over the is an understatement.

    • A: As you mentioned, you will need a properly threaded plug to install the sensor. As you mentioned, Killer B offers a plug converting the 1/8PT to 1/8NPT, which you will need. Thank you!

  • AnswerQ: AEM oil gauge   Rexed 2 years ago

Will this work with AEM oil Pressure gauge?

    • A: This galley plug will not be a direct fit with the AEM oil sensor because the AEM sensor is 1/8NPT and the threads in this plug are 1/8PT.
