When you are upgrading to a larger turbo or driving the car hard it is important to keep the air charge as cool as possible. Even though the stock intercooler is able to flow sufficient air, it is still only designed for mild driving and stock power levels.

When pushing the car hard, the stock intercooler will heat soak quickly and take a long time to cool back down. This causes the performance of the motor to decline and power to suffer. The Process West intercooler is a direct factory replacement that features a larger than stock core and lower pressure drop. These 2 features previously stated allow the intercooler to flow more air while reducing the amount of pressure that is lost over the surface of the intercooler. These features allow the intercooler to work better for longer and also allow a larger amount of air to pass through the core. The combination of these things will allow this intercooler to handle upwards of 400WHP. This Process West TMIC includes everything needed to make it a direct factory replacement.

I did a lot of research on top mounts before purchasing this one. I'm super glad that I did. This thing is truly a beast. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to 1) keep a top mount 2) keep the sleeper feel that comes with that 3) wants a quality TMIC.

fitment issues

overall ok product I had some major fitment issues. I suspect from a off model bracket or wrong turbo to IC hose.

I have an 08 legacy Gt and I had some serious alignment issues with the installed brackets and the IC. I had to mount the IC to the bracket by the turbo and push it to the left like 2 so the IC would line up with bracket on the drivers side. Even, then the drivers side bracket still dug into my Brake fluid reservoir tank. So after all of that I took the drivers side bracket off and grinded it down to avoid future brake fluid loss, I do not know if I received a wrong year bracket or what. Overall, after that dilemma the system looks good, I had no problems with the splitter, and I am currently being tuned for it.

Process West TMIC for LGT 05-09

I've had 4 different TMICs and 1 FMIC and the Process West is BY FAR the highest quality. It arrived to my door well packaged, with easy install instructions (for those that need them). Fitment is fantastic, but like others with aftermarket BOVs, I found out mine (GFB Respons) is making slight contact with the hood. I'll mitigate the issue with some sort of adhesive cushioning, but just understand you will run into this issue if you have anything installed other then the OEM BPV. I also replaced the worm clamps with T-bolt clamps, but that was just personal preference. The hood scoop adapter works as advertised, and is very easy to install as well. Bottom line is this is a quality TMIC, and in my opinion it's worth the price you pay. Thanks Process West and Rally Sport Direct!!!
