With the new orientation of the turbo on their WRX in these recent years (08+) people have been looking for a solution to the problem of mounting a turbo from an 02-07 WRX and connecting it to the intercooler. Process West has solved the problem for us by producing this heavy duty, high quality silicone hose. Process West has continually produced top notch stuff, this is no exception.

This hose REQUIRES the Process West Top Mount Intercooler. It will not work with a stock intercooler.

If you're looking to upgrade your stock turbo and intercooler, this is a very important part of your set up. The process west come with the flamege and hose for the stock turbo, this part will perfectly fit and no modifications are needed.

I just switched over to a PW TMIC on my '08 wrx. I have a Blouch16g-xtr, that is the sti style turbo. The hose fits very well. No issues at 22psi. (I believe the turbo side of this hose is 2, the 16g is a little smaller, but no leaks with a t-bolt clamp.)

Will this hose work with the process west verticooler?

    • A: This hose is meant for the standard Process West top mount. The Verticooler version is part number PRW PWSH005.

Will this pipe fit with the Process West TMIC and an ATP GTX3076R externally gated turbo?

    • A: I have not seen anybody use that setup before. It looks like it would be a really tight fit if it does work and would probably require modification. Another option is to mount the wastegate on the up pipe and use a wastegate block-off plate on the turbo.

  • AnswerQ: How well does this work?  the.daniel5on.dg99830 4 years ago

Have an 08 wrx and having this pipe would open up a lot more possiblities in the way of turbo upgrades. Any reports of this collapsing or coming apart or just not working well?

    • A: It should work great for you, it is a reinforced mutli-layer design, and should be a great addition to your ProcessWest TMIC when you want to use a 02-07 Style turbo.
