EXEDY cerametallic clutches are designed to handle the abuse of high power modified engines. The Exedy cerametallic friction material can handle much more abuse than stock type disc assemblies without slipping and fading. All EXEDY Stage 2 cerametallic clutch discs have sprung center dampers to reduce the impact and shock loads transmitted through the drivetrain. This is the Thick Version of the stage 2 clutch. The thick discs have better heat capacity and therefore better durability in demanding applications. Even with the thick disc, the Exedy puck designs typically have less inertia than a stock disc and work well for street, rally and track use.

Torque Capacity Measured at the wheels: 316 Ft/Lbs.

I've got this in combination with an OEM flywheel on my 2004 Forester and couldn't be happier! Comes as described and holds my 320whp just fine!

  • AnswerQ: Daily driver with high hp  Henry's04FozzyXT 10 months ago

I'm going to be fully building my car with a economy tune pushing at least 430-450 hp and still use it as a DD will this be ok or should I go with stage three?

    • A: This clutch is not rated high enough for your goals, we recommend something that can handle more tq at the wheels such a stage 3.

  • AnswerQ: Tracking  tall__1 2 years ago

I see the question above. But would it be worth it if I rally cross around twice a month? But it is still my daily driver. It is almost the same price as the Exedy HD clutch. I am hoping for something a little longer lasting because I rally cross it. What all does this kit come with, not a flywheel? It should fit with an ACT ProLight Flywheel?

    • A: The Stage 1 heavy duty should still fit your needs and be more comfortable. Opinions change from person to person, but the general opinion is this is not a comfortable clutch to daily drive with, it will perform better at the track though. This kit comes with the pressure plate, disc, and bearings, the Prolite flywheel will fit this unit.

    1. The difference between thin clutch and thick clutch? 2. The difference between 3 puck and 6 puck? thanks

    • A: The thick discs have better heat capacity and therefore better durability in demanding applications, the trade off is you have more material being spun by the crank resulting in drivetrain loss. Even so, Exedy puck designs typically have less inertia than a stock disc.

  • AnswerQ: Over kill ?   Calvin.k78274 3 years ago

Would this clutch be over kill for a everyday driver, pushing about 270hp. Or should I stick to something stage 1

    • A: This clutch kit is not recommended for a daily driver because it has a puck style disc, which engages harshly when compared to a full faced disc. I recommend the Stage 1 or Stage 1 Heavy Duty from Exedy for a daily driver.
