Cusco's vehicle specific oil catch can is polished to a mirror finish with Cusco blue fittings and bracket, this kit is attractive and functional. The easy to read oil level indicator doubles as the drain tube, just use the quick disconnect fittings and drain the can. It bolts on in minutes using normal hand tools.

Excellent fit/finished. Paired with my Grimmspeed AOS perfectly.

After achieving higher power levels, I started noticing oil finding it's way into the middle port that connects my Grimmspeed AOS to my turbo inlet during hard cornering or long WOT runs. Instead of shelling out another $370+ on a different style AOS, I decided to install this catch can between the AOS and the turbo inlet. I'm glad I did. It was a very easy install because all necessary parts came in the box and it comes with a bracket specifically made to mount in 08-14 STI's. It solved the blow-by issues and was reasonably priced. Very happy with this purchase.

I speak no Japanese!

The product itself looked great! I didn't like the fact that the instructions was in Japanese. A much more clearer install instruction would be nice since it took me awhile to find where to cut/connect the hoses. There were a few picture on the instuctions but, it didn't make me feel confident on the install. Other than that, it does it's job.

Cusco catch can

Haven't had a chance to install it yet. I was honestly disappointed with the quality of materials used when I unscrewed everything to prep it for paint it stripped half of the threads. I expected a lot more from Cusco

the fittings are screwed, so you can turn them in the orientation you please. the screwed taps on the can allow you to screw it onto a custom bracket if you choose. i used an L-bracket to place this can near the passenger side (see photo). gorgeous and quality material like all Cusco products and highly recommended because of its adjustability.

  • AnswerQ: What is this?  Heartless82 3 months ago

Excuse me for this question but, this catch can what is it for ? Thanks !

    • A: Catch cans connect to your PCV system in an effort to catch oil and contaminants that would otherwise get introduced to the intake system and combustion chambers. This prevents gunk and carbon buildup, oil contamination and consumption, and premature cylinder wear.

  • AnswerQ: Suitable for a NA Impreza?  evaradar 4 months ago

I know that this part is only meant for turbo Subarus, but I know it can still fit a NA Subaru, such as an Impreza. Now my question is, is this also useful for a NA Subaru? I was told that it nets the same results

    • A: We can only confirm fitment for the vehicles in the confirmed applications listing. In my opinion this is not nearly as beneficial as it would be on a turbo vehicle but in high RPM NA vehicles can see some blowby and it could have benefit.

  • AnswerQ: Newbie Questions  mhinkens 1 year ago

    1. In addition to helping with blowby in the turbo and intercooler, does this help remove condensation from the oil? In other words, will this help the yellow sludge under the oil cap issue? 2. Is there a baffle or filter inside of this can?

    • A: 1. This kit should help with the yellow sludge. 2.No, the street type catch tank doesn't have any baffles inside

  • AnswerQ: install question on 2013 sti  willow_lee16065 2 years ago

I have a 2013 sti and I was wondering where the other catch can fitting goes to (the exit nipple fitting)? Do I just route it to the atmosphere? It seems like the hose that came with the kit is not long enough to make another route back to the intake tract. Do I just leave one of the fitting alone so that it vents to the atmosphere? Instruction is confusing.

    • A: Cusco's instructions state that you can set this up so it is inline with the PCV system or you can have it atmospheric. With an atmospheric setup you may experience issues such as poor idling because the intake and PCV system would have a leak. If you put the catch can inline with the PCV/intake system, then additional hose may be necessary.

  • AnswerQ: Great Product  tempemail55a98eb2caae52820290382c 2 years ago

just bought the oil catch can , so do i still need the AOS ?

    • A: Many people will use a catch can along with an AOS. There are many different ways to connect it but going that route is a bit more custom than the standard install instructions.
