Cobb Tuning has designed this subtle yet beautiful airbox to prevent the hot air produced from your engine away from your Cobb Tuning SF intake. The cooler the air your engine can breathe, the more horsepower it will produce.

This box is constructed from 16 gauge aluminum which is a one-piece surround, directional lid with stainless steel fasteners. When paired with the SF intake is paired with the SF intake box, this makes for one of the most unparalleled designs in the industry.

Looks great.

Looks very good with the rest of my engine bay. Even wrapped the right and back sides with gold reflective tape. Just need to make a extension bracket for my Cobb filter since it sits higher for some strange reason. Also have to modify a left bracket that attaches to the fender cause it was hitting my snorkel piece.

  • AnswerQ: Benefits over stock airbox?  Jackstand Johnny 6 months ago

Since this replaces the stock airbox with that of another box and you still have to run the snorkel, what benefit does this system really have over the factory air intake setup?

    • A: Most of the advantages come from the intake system and filter with more surface area, but this airbox specifically fits that setup and helps shield it from engine bay temps.

I have a K&N short ram air intake, will this intake box fit over it? if not any other reccomendations?

    • A: This box is only confirmed to work with the Cobb SF intake.

  • AnswerQ: No air shroud  deibsorama 10 months ago

I have a 05 wagon and it didn't come with the stock air snorkel under the hood will the air hole in the fender give it enough air? Or would using it with out the top on the box work

    • A: The stock snorkel is not necessary and the intake will be able to pull plenty of air from the fender. We recommend using the airbox lid whether you have the snorkel installed or not.
