John Ritchey - 09/24/2008 I've come to respect the quality of Cobb products over the years and this is no exception. This is a fantastic intake whether you are just in it for the new noise you will get out of your car or to take advantage of some extra power by getting a tune. I had the same intake on my WRX before getting an STi, so it was an easy choice when it came time to pick something up. Fortunately this time Cobb has released the air box along with the intake. My IATs are WAY down from before (20+ degree drops). Couldn't be happier....thanks Cobb Tuning and Rally Sport Direct!

taylore pressley - 09/23/2008 I pervously had the 65mm aps CAI on my car and decided to buy this with the optinal heat sheild to replace it. So far i am really happy with this intake it has alot fewer dead spots as the APS, and still maintanes the awsome sound. |
Joseph Costantino - 06/23/2008 I would recommend this intake to all subaru owners. I also suggest the cobb air box be used with it as the filter now will be sucking air from one of the hottest parts of your engine bay, but even without the box you will see gains in power, but as with my application, (120 degree Arizona Summer) you also get the occasional missfire (may also be from Arizona's not-so 91 octane summer blend). Plus this intake makes your recirculating blow off valve almost as loud as a atmospheric, and really increases the sound of spool. |
Thomas Muther - 02/21/2008 Excellent upgrade for the money. Power and torque increase throughout, from low rpm to high, especially above 4000. Silencer in the fender well is removed, so there is a noise increase, but not an overpowering one. You can now hear the turbo breath in and out quite clearly, while also providing a deeper not from the engine. Well worth the 45 min install. |
Bartosz Bieszczad - 11/05/2007 Great product by Cobb. The reason Cobb's intake is the only one that works is because they have air foils inside the intake pipe before the map sensor so the air is straight when it flies past the sensor and also most importantly, the intake duct is the SAME diameter as stock, which is why it won't mess with the MAF readings and make the car run too lean or too rich. |
