Paul Hudak - 03/09/2009 10 out of 10! You'll have lots of fun with all the features. Had an open source tune from a friend before the AP and now my 06 sti runs smoother and more consistant. I experience afterfire(spittin flames out the exhaust) with the Stage 2 @ 93 octane but hopefully the protune will take car of that. Great product! |
mickel poofer - 11/08/2008 Great product. They have stages for you already. Detailed instructions on what maps to use for your specific setup. Advanced setup? Tuners can use it to save and build maps for you when you take it in to get tuned with the Pro Tune feature. With performance modes which you can most definitly feel there is also a fuel economy mode which helps keep the boost low to save on fuel. |
Glenn Ford - 09/28/2007 THis is by far the best upgrade that I have made to gain power in my STI. It is super easy to install. I've had mine since Feb of 2007 and have done all of the firmware updates to inlude the addition of the performance timers. The new maps seem to be more fuel efficient and with the addition of the launch control makes driving the STI even more fun. A must have!!!!! |
Anthony Stamp - 02/27/2007 I previously ran with a UTEC on my 06 STi. Just comparing base maps (which are not a good measure) the COBB was able to clearly produce a more consistent power band.
I am a little disappointed with the quality of AP Manager software, but it serves its purpose. The firmware update capability of this product is great, except that the unit needs to be unmarried/uninstalled from your car prior to updating.
Many of the features are still in work for the AP such as the 0-60 calc, hp calculator etc... but overall its a good platform to work from, and COBB all around makes some excellent products so I expect only good things for this AP.
I've been daily driving and doing some pulls with it, and all in all I'm very pleased, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Clearly, get a ProTune from a reputable tuner though! |
Angelica Sanchez - 01/05/2007 I installed this in about 30 min or so. The instructions COBB sends these with are pretty detailed to it makes it super easy to get it going. I just chose the map I wanted for my setup. They even have a detailed list of what you need to run that map on the AP. It loaded right up and I had no install errors. It did not come with the 1/4mile and fuel mileage features as they said. But COBB says they will be out some time this month (January). The digital gauges feature is nice because I dont have a boost gauge. I can look at live boost, RPMs, MPH, Volts, ect. Im really happy I went with this AP rather than the first version. It was a good buy. |
