This is an excellent choice for a high quality TBE that will last as long as your suby. The assembly is straightforward and displays nothing short of top quality construction. Trimming the factory heat sheild is easy make sure you use it. The extra heatsheild on the cast collector is a good addition. The exhaust note is perfect and almost inaudible after the car is warm with a nice throaty sound at full throttle. |

The quality of the APS products was the #1 reason for purchasing this TBE. I have yet to be disappointed with this product even after around 3 years and two cars (04WRX and 06STI). The fitment is clearly an A+ and only requires a simple bit of trimming of the exhaust divorcing wall in the collector which APS says in their instructions is needed for the USDM. Its ductile iron so its not that hard to trim/grind.
The look of product on the car is great because it does not scream ticket, unless your WOT :-)
I did have a problem with the available high flow CAT with rubbing and vibration against the firewall. This was remedied by doing some simply bending and application of a firewall padding/heat tape.
I'd recommend the APS line anytime. |
